Sister Wives star Christine Brown is as sweet as they come, so it was a shock to learn about her family's connection to a serial killer. The Browns already have a target on their back thanks to their polygamous lifestyle, so it makes sense that Christine would want to keep her family skeletons hidden. While Christine may not have murder on her mind, some of her ancestors sure did.

In Sister Wives season 16, Kody Brown's marriages to Sister Wives' Christine Brown, Janelle, and Meri Brown were at an all-time low. Christine's marriage took the worst hit as she ultimately decided to leave her marriage of 25 years for greener pastures. The straw that broke the camel's back was Kody spending too much of the COVID-19 pandemic with Robyn Brown. Kody and Robyn's strict rules during the pandemic caused conflict with the other wives. Things only got worse for Christine and Kody, and the two have since divorced.

Sister Wives' Christine's Family History Was Revealed

Despite being very open on Sister Wives, Christine has kept some things hidden. It is a little-known secret that Christine has a serial killer in her family tree. For years, Christine, who has a new boyfriend, has tried to keep her own side of the family quite private, to no avail. It was learned a while ago that she was born into a famous polygamous family called the Allred family. The family was best known for harboring a killer who ran a cult. In fact, it was Sister Wives star Christine's great-uncle who turned out to be a murderer.

Back in the day, Christine's uncle Ervil LeBaron ordered the murder of her paternal grandfather, Rulon Allred. Evril himself has 13 wives and a whopping 51 kids. In fact, Evril became the leader of a fundamentalist Mormon group. Christine, who should have a spin-off with Janelle, later discovered that her uncle turned out to be a bit of a fanatic and started to believe that he was a prophet. Evril had extremely strict rules and even used blood atonement. He was given the nickname "Mormon Manson." Basically, if Christine's uncle had a problem with one of his followers, he would order a hit, and his faithful followers would kill them.

Despite finding out about some unfortunate family history that Christine preferred to be kept private, the Sister Wives star is doing well. Although it's fun to speculate and dig into the past of cast members, it's important to remember that there are real people behind the camera. Christine's long family history should have no bearing on how she is viewed, and hopefully, she can avoid tragic past events from affecting her.
