Christine Brown has wanted to move back to Utah on Sister Wives for some time, but her actual move has been met with some skepticism from the fans. Christine is one of the most popular stars on Sister Wives, but she isn't impervious from the infamously critical fanbase. In fact, her recently-rumored move to Utah has exhibited a possible flaw in the Brown family dynamic. From fans hoping the Sister Wives star parted ways with her polygamist family to reasons why Kody Brown's third wife will never actually leave her plural marriage, here's why Christine's alleged move to Utah is being judged as shady.

For a long time now, Christine has been vocal on Sister Wives about her disdain for living in Arizona. Originally, the Brown family lived under one roof together in Lehi, Utah. Eventually, Kody led his family to Las Vegas, Nevada, after the Utah government started a criminal investigation of the family for taking part in a plural marriage, which is a crime in all 50 states. In Arizona, the Brown family members gained more independence from one another, but Kody has been trying to unite all of his sister wives again on his Cotoye Pass land in Flagstaff, Arizona. While some of Kody's wives like Janelle Brown are enthusiastic about the Coyote Pass plan, others aren't as passionate.

During the Sister Wives season 16 trailer, Christine got emotional about her desire to return to Utah. On Friday, October 15, The Sun reported that Christine moved into a $1.1 million home in Utah. Immediately, this was great news for Sister Wives fans as they've been rooting for Christine to get out of her controversial marriage. Christine has expressed discontent in the status of her marriage on and off of her family's reality show, asserting that her relationship with Kody is dysfunctional. The breaking news that Christine finally followed her heart and left her unfulfilling marriage to live in Utah seemingly assured a happy ending for the fan-favorite sister wife. Alas, some fans aren't ready to celebrate Christine's move, as they don't think the sister wife is actually done with her marriage.

Christine Brown on Sister Wives

A large portion of the Sister Wives fanbase believes that Christine will never leave the polygamist family. In past seasons, cast members have indicated that they might finally leave Kody, but Kody has ultimately retained all four of his wives. Even though it's been reported that Christine is living in Utah, Sister Wives viewers are used to the cast pulling PR stunts ahead of a new season in order to improve ratings. In a conversation about Christine's alleged move, a Reddit user commented, "How can people be so gullible? These people will never leave each other." Many users agreed with that original poster, bolstering the theory that Christine faked this move to increase the show's appeal ahead of the Sister Wives season 16 premiere. Although Christine claims that she's unhappy in her marriage, fans have lost hope in any of Kody's wives leaving him after appearing together on TV throughout 15 seasons.

Christine's move to Utah would mean that the Brown family is set to undergo radical change on Sister Wives season 16, but not all fans are optimistic about the odds of Christine actually leaving Kody. Even though viewers would embrace the wife for exiting the plural family and returning to Utah, it is likely that this is another PR stunt. Nonetheless, fans will soon find out if Christine truly intends to leave her family or if she's just staging drama to improve the Sister Wives seasons 16 ratings.
