Christine Brown surprised Sister Wives fans with her decision to leave her spiritual husband of 27 years and although no one knows what next for the reality star, Christine may find a new polygamous marriage. Sister wives fans were overjoyed by Christine's choice to opt out of her plural marriage, and while she might not have been happy with Kody Brown and his three other wives, there's still a chance that Christine will join another plural family. From Christine's polygamist background to the unique conditions that led Christine to leave Kody, here's why Christine may choose to become a sister wife again.

Sister Wives viewers agree that Christine was justified in leaving Kody and his three sister wives. Throughout the Brown family's run on reality TV, Christine presented a myriad of marital issues that Kody never rectified. A major issue in Christine's relationship with Kody, however, was Christine appeared to desire a life with a monogamous partner. When Kody proposed all of his sister wives move into one large house with him in Arizona, Christine swiftly shut down the communal concept. Instead, Christine wanted to retain her independence and live in a separate home. This signaled to fans that Christine might not be getting anything out of the polygamist lifestyle.

While fans might suspect Christine is done with being a sister wife for good because of her harrowing journey on Sister Wives, there's still reason to believe that the reality star will embark on a new polygamous relationship. One reason why Christine could return to polygamy is it's all she knows. Christine's parents were part of a plural marriage and the TV personality swears that they set a great example for polygamy as they rarely fought. What's more, Christine is actually considered "polygamy royalty" because of her historic relatives. Christine's grandfather on her father's side, Rulon C. Allred, was the founder of the prominent polygamist group Apostolic United Brethren. Additionally, Christine's great uncle on her mother's side ran a notorious polygamist cult that rivaled her grandfather's. Not only are polygamist marriages all that Christine's known, but it's in her blood.

In an interview with The Sun, Christine's cousin Anna LeBaron explained that just because the Sister Wives star left Kody doesn't mean she's done with polygamy. Anna shared, "It's very common for a woman to leave one polygamous relationship and enter a new one because it's familiar territory." Kody's individually unpleasant relationship with Christine works with Anna's theory that Christine might not be done with being a sister wife for good. Sister Wives fans agree that Kody was an especially bad husband to Christine throughout the past decade of their dozens of years together. Whether he refused to accompany their daughter Ysabel during her intense spine surgery or he was spending most of his time with his fourth wife Robyn, Kody wasn't a suitable partner for his ex-sister wife. Christine might think she can find another polygamist patriarch that can treat her better than Kody.

Fans have celebrated Christine's decision to get out of her plural marriage with Kody, but some viewers might be disappointed to learn that returning to polygamy isn't off the table for Christine. On top of spending so many years as a sister wife and growing up in a plural family, Christine is a descendent of polygamy royalty. Additionally, it was Kody's poor performance as a husband that prompted Christine's departure. If Christine does join another polygamist family, Sister Wives fans can only hope she ends up with a better spiritual husband.
