The end of Kody and Christine Brown's marriage has been the main conversation among the Sister Wives fanbase, however, the pair's daughter Gwendlyn has recently emerged as a topic of discussion. With just under 20 children, it can be difficult for one of Kody's children to stand out from the crowd. From embracing her bisexual identity to surviving a recent car crash, here's how Christine and Kody's daughter Gwendlyn emerged as one of the most prominent Sister Wives children.

Gwendlyn Genielle was born on October 15, 2001, which means the reality TV heiress has a Libra Sun sign and recently celebrated her 20th birthday. Born just three days after Janelle's son Gabriel, Gwendlyn sits in the middle of Kody's kids as she's the polygamist patriarch's 11th child of 18 and Christine's fourth of six. Gwendlyn was introduced to the world in Sister Wives season 1 when Christine's daughter was only eight years old. In the decade the Brown family's starred on reality TV, viewers got the privilege of watching Gwendlyn grow into the fiery adult she is today. Much like her rebellious mother, Gwendlyn has turned out to be one of the most unforgettable and outspoken members of the Brown family.

Although Gwendlyn and her polygamist father might not share the same political ideologies, both Kody and his daughter are vocal advocates for what they believe is right. In Sister Wives, Kody has been fighting to make polygamous relationships legal in Utah and across the nation. Kody's political aspirations even resulted in him preparing to run for office. Similar to her father, Gwendlyn has utilized her platform to advocate for social causes she believes in. Although Gwendlyn isn't as passionate about polygamy as Kody, the Sister Wives star is a fierce supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement on her Instagram. Additionally, Gwendlyn is a vocal member of the LGBTQ community. When Gwendlyn was 18 years old, she told The Sun, "I never ‘came out’ because I was never ‘in.’ I’m just bi." Kody isn't known for his progressive politics, so Gwendlyn's unapologetic embrace of her bisexuality inspired fans.

While she remains close with her mother, Gwendlyn has been following her own path away from Kody and Christine for many years now. First off, The List reported that Gwendlyn confirmed she has no interest in being in a polygamous relationship as the reality star confessed, "I'm selfish and would get jealous too easily." Gwendlyn's also secured her independence by taking on adventures away from her unconventional family. Some of Gwendlyn's expeditions include getting a job as a chef on the Polar Express in Flagstaff, Arizona, and exploring Zion National Park with her friends. Lately, Gwendlyn garnered sympathy after she shared she was hit by a car while biking. In an Instagram post, Gwendlyn explained, "I got hit by a car. It messed up my bike and docs... would not recommend getting hit..." Unsurprisingly, Gwendlyn's ferocious spirit has survived the wreckage.

Sister Wives fans are well aware that the Brown family is full of larger-than-life personalities, but Gwendlyn has managed to stand out from the polygamous pack. From being an advocate for social justice to brazenly owning her bisexual identity, Gwendlyn is one of the Brown family's most popular children. Hopefully, Gwendlyn will share more of her fascinating story in the upcoming Sister Wives seasons.
