A clever Sims 4 player has expertly recreated the home featured in the game's Build and Buy menu. A game all about creativity, the recreation of famous places in The Sims 4 is a popular pastime for many players. The long-running simulation title has one of the most active creative communities in gaming, with players frequently sharing their creations online.

Although creating and living out the lives of Sims is a core element of The Sims franchise, building homes and businesses is arguably just as popular an activity - some players even spend more of their time creating builds than they do playing with their characters. To do this, players will use the Build and Buy menu to purchase furniture items, build foundations and roofs, perform landscaping, and more. This menu - which has been different in each iteration of the Sims franchise - in The Sims 4 is represented by a gray home and yard which makes each section clickable for players to quickly switch between sections.

Twitter user dan1ellebuilds shared a clever recreation of the Build/Buy menu home this week that will look very familiar to any Sims 4 fan. Almost entirely monochromatic, each menu section from wallpaper to pools has been included just as it appears within the game. The only objects featured in color as those that do not have any gray swatches, which are the recreations of the menu buttons for nature items. The user's recreation copies the spacing of the menu perfectly as well, expertly capturing the layout of the game's Build/Buy menu.

Although this recreation may not be as flashy and colorful as some other Sims 4 builds, that doesn't make it any less impressive. In fact, the way the user has managed to find matching gray swatches for every piece of the menu, as well as capture the exact proportions from the game is perhaps a harder feat than designing a larger, more colorful build that offers players more creative leeway. This recreation must have been no easy feat, not only because of the necessary color swatches but due to the difficulty of building only the partial form of many elements the way they are featured in the menu, and the painstaking matching of the menu's proportions.

It's unclear if the user had to use any Sims 4 building cheats for this amazing recreation, but it was surely a difficult process either way. For any player who spends a lot of time in Build and Buy mode, this design is a perfect tribute to the building process of the game in the most meta way possible, highlighting the menu while using the very same menu to create the build. Although Sims players will always have their pet peeves about Build/Buy mode when it comes to any entry in the series, the sheer possibilities offered by the game for creating players' visions cannot be overlooked. This incredibly accurate build highlights these possibilities while creating a fun homage to a screen that many Sims 4 players have undoubtedly looked at for hours.
