The 18th Sims 4 stuff pack is currently in development, as indicated by the accidental early release of a mysterious unnamed stuff pack that led to EA offering refunds to players who managed to buy this pack. While EA has not officially revealed any information regarding this stuff pack, there could be hints within The Sims 4 that indicate the next stuff pack could be wedding themed.

The Sims 4 team, developers at Maxis Studios who are better known as Sim Gurus, have been busy as of late as they have faced backlash from fans regarding several issues within the game, such as a lack of diversity in darker skin tones that allow players to recreate themselves in The Sims 4. Other issues include retooling babies so they feel less like objects, as well as overall fan backlash towards the latest Sims 4 game pack, The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu.

The Sims team are doing their best to give fans the content they want, beginning with an increased number of skin tone swatches. In an official statement on The Sims 4 website, the Sims team announced they would be releasing a Sims 4 base game patch update around existing skin tones on October 6 for Mac/PC and November 10 for console. They also announced in the statement that they would be releasing at least 100 skin tone swatches in cool, neutral, and warm skin tones, while emphasizing on better warm tones. The December update will also include a slider for skin tones and makeup. While the Sims team has officially announced changes to skin tones, they could also secretly be giving hints as to what the next Sims 4 stuff pack could be. In The Sims 4 patch that came before the release of The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu, one update that was made to the game was the ability to allow players to have their Sims elope in any of The Sims 4 destination worlds. This update could possibly correspond with the first Spark’d Challenge in The Sims 4 called Destination Wedding that was introduced alongside The Sims 4 Spark’d reality TV competition. Of course, these two events could just be coincidental and mean nothing, but it could also possibly be a hint that the next Sims 4 stuff pack is wedding themed.

What Could Be in A Wedding Themed Stuff Pack?

The Sims 4 Playstation

If the next stuff pack for The Sims 4 is indeed wedding themed, there’s a lot of different directions The Sims team could go in terms of content. Featured content could include a new destination world that could be used for honeymoons. Bachelor and bachelorette parties could make their return to The Sims franchise alongside party entertainers. More wedding themed objects such as wedding arches, décor, and buffet tables, as well as wedding themed clothing, could also be added into the game.

While no information is known about the 18th Sims 4 stuff pack, it’s not completely out of the realm of possibility that a wedding themed pack could be in the works. When Maxis released a survey asking players to vote on potential content ideas that interested them, "modern love and romance" was one of the options. It’s also known that The Sims can use surveys as inspiration for new content, as the green living theme of The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle expansion pack was originally an option in the first community voted stuff pack, which ended up becoming The Sims 4: Laundry Day stuff pack.

While a wedding themed pack would be a nice addition to The Sims 4, nothing regarding the next stuff pack has been officially revealed yet. Players won’t know what the next Sims 4 stuff content contains until it’s officially announced, but if patch notes and The Sims Spark’d are any indication of things to come, fans could be falling in love with The Sims 4 all over again.
