Sims 4 player's amazing Studio Ghibli-inspired tiny home build has garnered a shout out from the game's developers. Creating Sims 4 builds inspired by pop culture trends is a favorite activity for many players, as the game allows a great amount of creative freedom. This is thanks to a myriad of items within The Sims 4 that can be used in different ways.

The Sims 4 has released a huge amount of DLC since its release in 2014, and while some mostly focus on gameplay elements others focus on certain aesthetic building styles as well, such as Tiny Living which is all about compact homes, or Cottage Living which features a slew of cottage-core themed items. Japanese animation studio Studio Ghibli has made many beautiful films over the years to the delight of many, such as My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away, all directed by Hayao Miyazaki. Studio Ghibli film locales are a common subject for many builders, not just in The Sims 4 but in any franchise that allows building - for example, Animal Crossing players often recreate Ghibli locations as well.

An amazing Studio Ghibli tiny-home build shared by that1greenleaf on Twitter garnered a shoutout of approval from The Sims account this week complimenting the design, replying that "these vibes are" followed by a series of complimentary emojis. The user's gorgeous design isn't a specific reference to any specific Studio Ghibli film, rather an amalgamation of the typical themes and aesthetics seen throughout Miyazaki's works. The small cottage-core build features a large amount of nature, harkening back to the common themes of earth, wildlife, and forest spirits seen in many Ghibli films. The bike that is stationed at the front of the home is also a common element seen in many Miayazaki films, like Kiki's Delivery Service and From Up On Poppy Hill.

This delightful build expertly uses items and landscaping - especially those from The Sims 4's Cottage Living DLC - to capture the magical aura of Studio Ghibli films. Fittingly, the stumps seen in the back of the design may even be a magical object, as it bears resemblance to the tree stump used in conjunction with magic beans to create Plant Sims. The Wild Bird House item is also perfectly at home in the build, and could easily be seen as part of a protagonist's fantastical interactions with nature within a film. Although the architectural style of the home is somewhat more Western, the slightly overgrown look of the plants and adorable home could still fit perfectly within one of Miyazaki's movies.

It's no wonder why Studio Ghibli fans enjoy recreating scenes and designs inspired by the studio, whether they're based on a specific movie or just the general Miyazaki aesthetic - the movies have a unique and beautiful quality to them that makes the films stand out from other animation. This user's build is an adorably functional tribute to the studio, and a reminder of the great value creators are to others within the Sims 4 community. If uploaded to the Sims Gallery, the home could be used by other players to create their own Ghibli storylines for their characters and provide hours of gameplay for any Miyazaki fan.
