An impressive Sims 4 speed build sees a talented player construct an elaborate high school in under 20 minutes. The 2014 social simulation game continues to receive support from developer Maxis, with the exciting High School Years expansion recently arriving on July 28. The Sims 4 High School Years expansion focuses on academics and young love, but one dedicated player has instead used the DLC's new tools to construct an impressive piece of architecture.

The brand-new High School Years expansion brings Sims 4 players to the cozy town of Copperdale. The DLC focuses on teen life, with players now able to control teenaged Sims while they go through their daily schedule at Copperdale High. Young love is also a central theme, with teen Sims able to meet up at popular dating locations like Plumbite Pier. New fashion was also added to Sims 4 to reflect a hip fashion sense, with popular creators from Depop specifically crafting designs for High School Years. While the Sims 4 high school pack includes the fully-built Copperdale High, it also gives players the tools to build their own schools.

Talented Sims 4 player and YouTuber Kate Emerald recently pulled off a breathtaking speed build of a high school in honor of High School Years. Built in a little over 19 minutes without custom content, the amazingly detailed high school build features an art room, a gymnasium with a basketball court, a parking lot and many classrooms. The impressive creation was built using many of the new tools added to Sims 4 in the High School Years expansion, including round walls and high school supplies. As shared by Kate Emerald on Twitter, the Sims 4 lot is titled High School By Kate (No CC).

Sims 4 High School Years Adds Important Architectural Tools

While Maxis has confirmed that worlds other that Copperdale cannot have functioning high schools, apparently a Sims 4 modder will fix High School Years by adding the option. This seems like a momentous task, but the modder also specified that this will not necessary let one world have multiple different schools. However, it will presumably let creators like Kate Emerald turn their impressive builds into fully functional schools for teenaged Sims to attend. The lack of this feature in Sims 4 is disappointing, though it is possible that Maxis will implement an official solution down the road.

The Sims 4 boasts a wide range of tools and resources for speedy builders to use, and High School Years has only added to that creative arsenal. Using in-game features and their own immense skill, Kate Emerald managed to construct a massive and detailed high school in less than 20 minutes. While the build sadly isn't functional, it stands as a testament to Kate Emerald's creativity abilities and The Sims 4's flexibility.
