Warning: SPOILERS for The Simpsons: The Good, The Bart, and The Loki.

In The Simpsons: The Good, The Bart, and The Loki, the citizens of Springfield appear as characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe when Loki (Tom Hiddleston) comes to town. It's a major show of corporate synergy by Disney, the parent company of both Marvel and Fox, which owns The Simpsons. In fact, The Simpsons' short film outright mocks Disney as their overloads with a sign that says "This Is What Happens When Disney Buys Marvel And Fox".

The Simpsons has parodied Marvel numerous times in the show's 30+ seasons, including Stan Lee appearing as himself in season 13. The Simpsons season 31 episode, "Bart the Bad Guy", also featured Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo, and Cobie Smulders providing guest voices in a Marvel Studios parody. However, "Bart the Bad Guy" didn't actually utilize the trademarked Marvel characters for their satire about the pop culture domination of the MCU. For The Simpsons: The Good, The Bart, and The Loki, Disney approved the use of Marvel's trademarked characters, similar to how The Simpsons were allowed to use Star Wars characters for the previous crossover short film starring Maggie Simpson, The Force Awakens From Its Nap.

In The Simpsons: The Good, The Bart, and The Loki, the God of Mischief is banished to Springfield, where he befriends Bart Simpson and later banishes Lisa to Asgard. However, Lisa finds Thor's magic hammer Mjolnir and is transformed into Thor. Lisa then returns home to lead the Springfield Avengers against Loki. Some of the character choices are absolutely spot-on and the short film contains numerous Easter eggs to keep both Marvel and Simpsons fans entertained.
