Named after the mother of series creator Matt Groening, Marge has provided entertainment to different generations of sitcom fans since the 80s. However, in season 17's "Homer's Paternity Coot," she states that she was born in February.

Marge contradicts herself again when she and Homer move to India after he is made the manager of the new power plant. She says she was born in May, and, in season 23's "Exit Through the Kwik-E-Mart," Lisa displays a calendar with her birthday indicated as March 19.

Marge's hair isn't naturally blue; she has had grey hair since she was 17. The exact dye that she uses on her hair is Blue Dye #56. These little details come to light when Homer begins working as a teacher at Adult Education Annex.

Homer gives lessons on how to have a happy marriage, and, in order to keep the class interested, he reveals a few secrets about his wife. Marge becomes angry when she finds out about Homer's actions, but, since his students are rebellious, he tells them more secrets and goes as far as to invite them home. In season 21, Marge and Homer join the Olympic team after she discovers her love for curling. They go on to compete in the 2010 Vancouver Games where they emerge winners.

Marge then reveals that she managed to win using her left hand because she is ambidextrous and can use both arms. She reveals that she was born left-handed, but she practiced using her right hand so that other children would look at her awkwardly. One of the most unique things about Marge is her hair. She has claimed that she is the tallest in her family, thanks to her hair, though Homer is actually taller than her.

A number of items have been found in Marge's hair over the years. In season seven, there's a huge jar of cash and a check to pay for damages caused to Homer's car, as well as a phone number for Grandpa-related emergencies. In season eight, money was found in her hair, and, in season five, a swarm of bats flew out.

Marge and Homer are the definitions of true love, but they've had their low moments, and Marge left her true love twice so far in the series. Since Marge has been content with being a stay-at-home mom for most of the series, some viewers would be surprised to find out that she has actually held a total of 26 jobs. She has even served as Mayor of Springfield after successfully running against Mayor Quimby.

She also joined the Springfield Police Force before resigning because of corruption. Some of the other jobs she has held include Teacher at Springfield Elementary, Meteorologist at Channel 6 News, Waitress in Berger's burgers, Instructor at Shapes Fitness, and Real Estate Agent for Red Blazer Realty.

During a chat with her fellow club members, it is revealed that her hair is 18 inches long. As the good person that she is, Marge soon realizes that she is changing into an entitled woman, and she quits the club.

Marge is forced to battle several women for Homer's attention after a new TV show premieres. In the show, the main character has the same name as Homer, so people think it's him. Instead of denying it, Homer rides the wave, thus attracting attention from hundreds of female fans in Springfield.

The fans keep on trying to seduce Homer, thus making Marge insecure. In order to let Homer know how much she loves him, she lets him know that she has a tattoo of him. The tattoo has never been shown in the animated sitcom.

This detail emerges as her new annoying neighbor Emily and her friends are breastfeeding in public in season 24's "The Day The Earth Stood Still." Marge opts to breastfeed Maggie using a bottle. She also considers leaving, but she restrains herself.

Marge also reveals that she only breastfed Lisa for nine months. As expected, she isn't thrilled when Homer uses baby-formula to put out a fire that was started by Bart and T-Rex.

Marge needs to wear glasses, but she doesn't because she believes they give her a dowdy look. When Bart makes an error that costs the Springfield Isotopes the championship title, the whole town starts to hate him.

Devastated, Bart begins painting "I Hate Bart Simpson" messages on everything he can find. Marge's poor eyesight becomes evident when she has to wear glasses to read the words Bart has painted. Apparently, she always has a pair of glasses with her, but she rarely wears them because she's concerned about her appearance.
