The Simpsons has been on the air longer than the majority of their audience has been alive. And as long as the show has been on the air, it has had its share of great guest stars and side characters that are just as memorable as any of the main class. However, one of them is always a treat when he has a part in the episode, and that would be everyone's favorite know-it-all, Martin Prince.

However, one of them is always a treat when he is in an episode, and that is everyone's favorite know-it-all, Martin Prince. As fans know, Martin Prince is one of Bart Simpson's classmates, but he also has some of the best quotes in the series.

"Ah, The Gentle Caress Of A Summer Breeze."

In the season 6 premiere, "Bart of Darkness," a heatwave descends upon Springfield, and Bart and Lisa take the opportunity to convince their parents to buy them a pool. After they do, it is as if the entire school shows up at their house to partake in the pool during the hot summer days.

During this time, Martin sees how having the pool has raised both Bart and Lisa's popularity and wants in on the action. Convincing his own parents to get him a pool, he does enjoy popularity for a while. However, it is brief. He lets too many kids into the pool, and it explodes, leaving Martin alone. This quote shows that he is admitting defeat but still finding the positive in the moment.

"Spring Forth Burly Protector And Save Me!"

An annoyed Nelson walks while Martin dances around him in The Simpsons

In the episode "Lemon Of Troy," Martin and the other kids venture into neighboring Shelbyville after a group of kids from the rival town come in and steal a lemon tree that's sacred to the town. The kids pair up to search for it all over the city. Martin, who is paired up with Nelson, runs into some trouble with a local bully, and he yells this quote, making Nelson reluctantly come out and help him.

It's suggested from early on in the episode that Nelson and Martin may have gotten close over the summer because they've spent time together at Space Camp. This would explain why Nelson came to Martin's rescue, albeit reluctantly.

"Not Quite Perished My Lady Love, Although, Some Days I Wish I Had."

Future Martin Prince playing the organ a la Phantom of the Opera in The Simpsons

In the episode "Lisa's Wedding," Lisa Simpson, a character with many hidden details, visits a fortune teller at a Renaissance fair who gives her a look into her future wedding. As announcements are being sent out, the episode cuts to Miss Hoover and Principal Skinner talking about Lisa and how she was the only smart kid in the school aside from Martin Prince, who died in an explosion. The camera pans down to a cavern underneath the school where a grown Martin sits at a pipe organ saying this quote.

What makes the quote so funny is that it's a parody of The Phantom Of The Opera. Martin hides his face behind a mask and plays a song at the organ, wearing a black cape.

"Spare Me Your Euphemisms! It's Fat Camp For Daddy's Chubby Little Secret!"

Martin angrily tells his parents off in The Simpsons

In the classic episode "Kamp Krusty," Springfield children are excited to spend their summer at Kamp Krusty, a summer camp run by everyone's favorite TV clown, Krusty. As the kids are getting on the bus, there is a moment where they all say goodbye to their parents, and the audience can tell Martin's upset.

When his parents start to say goodbye, Martin exclaims this quote and it perfectly encapsulates his flair for the dramatic.

"My Geode Must Be Acknowledged!"

Martin frowns in anger in The Simpsons

In "Sweet Skinner's Badasssss Song," it's Show and Tell Day and Martin has to follow Bart, another main character with many hidden details fans may have missed, who brings his dog to class.

Getting up to the front of the class, Martin tries to start his presentation about his geode, and when the class, including the teacher, is more focused on the dog than the presentation, he becomes impatient and yells this quote. Martin's personality often brings down those around him, especially when he wants to show off how smart he is.

"Today, I Wear The Vest! Ha! Ha!"

In the episode "The Wreck Of the Relationship," Bart Simpson has a standoff with Homer over a piece of broccoli. While the two are having their standoff, Milhouse runs in to tell Bart, who is often a bad friend to Milhouse, that Martin is beating up Nelson in the front yard. The audience then sees Martin pinning Nelson to the ground, wearing his vest and declaring, "Today, I Wear The Vest! Ha! Ha!"

This is a rather triumphant moment for the other characters in the show who have been harassed and bullied by Nelson over the years.

"I've Been Taking Your Crap All My Life! Oh, This Feels Good, No Wonder You Do It!"

Martin beats up his bullies in The Simpsons Movie

Martin's great breakout moment in The Simpsons Movie is near the film's climax when Homer and Bart try to get the bomb out of the dome. When everyone thinks that this is the end, Martin finds all the bullies and declares this line as he beats up the bullies with a wooden stick.

What is so great about this moment is that the audience, up until this point in the series, has never seen Martin come undone like this. It comes out of nowhere, and it's one of the best lines of the film.

"Fly Orb! And Find Thy Hoop!"

Martin hangs from a tree and Bart takes a shot at him in The Simpsons

In the episode "Replaceable You," Bart rescues Martin after bullies put him up in a tree. Bart asks him for help with his science project, and in exchange, he says he will pick Martin first for basketball.

Martin then has a fantasy where Bart picks him, and he's a much taller and more muscular vision of himself. Before he makes the shot, he cries out this quote. While it's not the funniest of lines, it does encapsulate him as a character by showing that in his athletic fantasy, he still sounds like himself.

"Forty Whacks With A Wet Noodle Bart!"

In the classic episode, "Cape Feare," Edna Krabappel makes her class announcements and announces that Martin will play the lead in their play about Lizzie Borden. Martin appears dressed up as Lizzie Borden in the gag, wielding an ax as he exclaims, "Forty whacks with a wet noodle Bart!"

The line is a quick throwaway gag, but the fact that Martin is even dressed up as Lizzie Borden as he says the line makes the moment hilarious.

"Oh, Please, Call Me Papa!"

In the episode "Bart Gets An F," the children are presenting book reports, and Martin, in his dramatic fashion, is doing an oral report on Hemmingway. After giving his speech, Edna is extremely impressed, and as he walks by and tells him that at moments she thought he was Hemmingway, he scoffs and says this quote.

It's such a different line for Martin, but the confidence and swagger to which he said the line is what makes it so funny.
