Agent 47 has been taking down high-value targets since the first installment in the Hitman series back in 2000. From Danish company IO Interactive, Hitman has spanned 20 years of gaming with eight official games broken up into two installments: The Original Series (2000 - 2012) and the World of Assassination Series (2016 - 2021). Hitman 3 is the most recent installment of the stealth/assassination game. After experiencing some server issues on launch day, Devs have gotten the game in working order.

Stealth is a mechanic that has taken over the gaming industry. Games like Assassin's Creed: Valhalla and Ghost of Tsushima have unique and similar takes on the mechanic. Hitman is one of the original stealth games and has held to its roots since Hitman Agent 47 back in 2000. Silencers have always been 47's attachment of choice, especially on his long-range weapons. Here's how players can unlock silenced sniper rifles in Hitman 3.

Hitman 3 - How to get a Silenced Sniper Rifle

Hitman Silenced Sniper Rifle

Sniper Rifles are already one of the best tier weapons Agent 47 can use to take out his targets. Screwing a silencer to the end of the barrel makes it even easier. Cue Call of Duty: Warzone players hearing every loadout video in the world tell them to use the monolithic suppressor. These weapons won't come easy in Hitman 3. Players will have to grind out their Master Levels on specific missions to unlock a silenced sniper.

Mastery Level is tied to the player's challenge progression on each mission. Each stage comes with its unique challenges that Agent 47 can complete by playing the missions multiple times. Don't worry; every level in Hitman 3 is better upon a second or third playthrough. 47's Mastery caps at level 20 for each assignment, which is about an 85% challenge completion rate. Increasing his Mastery Level is a great way to unlock new gear, useful starting points, and secret stashes. This is also how players will be unlocking a silenced sniper rifle.

There are four sniper rifles Agent 47 can unlock by increasing his Mastery Level. However, only 2 of them are silenced. They are the:

  • Sieger 300 Viper (Mendoza - Mastery Lvl 20)
  • Hackl Leviathan Sniper Rifle Covert (Chongqing Mastery Lvl 20)

The Leviathan packs a bigger punch and is better and long-range. However, the Sieger provides better handling for mid to long-range takedowns. Both will be beneficial weapons in 47's arsenal and should be prioritized by players looking to master the game.

Alternatively, players can also play levels from Hitman 1 & 2 and use weapons and gear unlocked from them. Players can even transfer their levels and progression from the first two games. Here are four alternative silenced sniper rifles players can use from Hitman 1 & 2.

  • Sieger 300 Tactical (Isle of Sgail Mastery Lvl 10)
  • Sieger 300 (Colorado Mastery Lvl 15)
  • Sieger 300 Advanced (Hokkaido Mastery Lvl Level 20)
  • Sieger 300 Ghost (A House Made of Sand – Complete the Escalation Missions)

The best part about Hitman 3 is that any weapon unlocked during any mission can be used on other assignments. Don't think that the guns unlocked in Colorado can only be used in Colorado and vice-versa. As one of the most reputable franchises in gaming, players are eager to see what the future hold for the Hitman games as they sink their teeth into the latest edition.
