Max Long, who is dating Siesta Key star Kelsey Owens has confirmed that his girlfriend is not friends with her costar and former best friend, Juliette Porter. Kelsey and Juliette have had quite the relationship as they've journeyed from enemies to best friends and roommates, to enemies again, and now seemingly strangers. The two met during the reality show's first season when Kelsey was the new girl in the laid-back beach town who had caught Garrett Miller's eye. Juliette had her eyes on former star Alex Kompothecras, and when he got close to Kelsey, the drama between the women began.
Juliette, who ultimately circled back to Alex for several more Siesta Key seasons, started a short fling with Garrett, which seemingly gave Kelsey a taste of her own medicine. However, by season 3 of the show, in a twist of events no one saw coming, Kelsey and Juliette became best friends and started living together. Unfortunately, their friendship fell apart when Kelsey accused Juliette of only dating Sam Logan because of his billionaire status and became jealous that Juliette was starting a swimsuit line that would be a competitor with her own swimwear company. Things between the two only worsened on their island getaway vacation when a very drunk Juliette hit Kelsey across the face.
While Kelsey and Juliette seem to be on friendly terms on the show, Kelsey's boyfriend Max says otherwise. In a series of Instagram comments shared by @mtv_reality_teaa, the star's boyfriend tells fans that Kelsey and Juliette are not friends. In response to a fan, Max wrote, "they're not friends tho. Juliette hit her lol." While Max had his girlfriend's back in defending her from Juliette's actions, he did admit that both girls were wrong in the falling out of their friendship. One fan called out some of the things Kelsey had done to betray Juliette and Max admitted, "they've definitely both done things to each other over the years that caused the friendship to die."
During the Siesta Key season 4 reunion episode, Juliette and Kelsey got emotional and revealed they were both open to healing from their past and trying to form a relationship again. Unfortunately, Juliette later shared that there was still a lot of tension between them and Kelsey always looked unhappy to be in the same room as her. The two seem cordial on the show and at times seem like they could be reviving their friendship. But apparently, that's not how it is when the cameras are turned off. However, Max seems all for a Juliette and Kelsey reunion, writing, "I wish they were still friends! It was so much fun when all 3 of us used to hang out."
It looks like Juliette and Kelsey have not been able to patch up their friendship like they planned to do during the season 4 reunion. It's sad to hear that all their good moments are in the past and that the days of their group hangouts with Max are over too. After the several ups and downs they've gone through, maybe it's for the best that the two live their lives separately. However, there's always hope the Siesta Key stars may put the past behind them and reunite one day.
