Since the beginning of her journey on Siesta Key, Juliette Porter has had a complicated love life, and her relationship with Sam Logan continued this trend. From dating Alex Kompothecras before MTV fired him to an unsuccessful run on Bachelor In Paradise, Juliette hasn't had much luck with men. While everyone was rooting for Sam to be Juliette's break from her pattern of disappointing relationships, here's why the Siesta Key stars aren't together anymore.
Juliette first introduced Sam to viewers on Siesta Key season 3. After appearing throughout his first season on the show, Sam became a regular cast member for Siesta Key season 4. In turn, Juliette confessed that she knew Sam for years before they dated and always had a crush on him. The pair overcame jealousy from Juliette's ex-boyfriend and Sam's friend, Alex, before moving to the next stage of their relationship. Eventually, Juliette and Sam transitioned from friends to significant others. Together, the couple traveled across the world in style, thanks to Sam's affluent parents, Sam Sr. and Elizabeth. Overall, Juliette and Sam dated for 2 years before their relationship met an abrupt end.
On August 17, 2021, news broke of Juliette and Sam's breakup. Rumors about the end of their relationship arose when he was spotted partying with other women. Sam later confirmed he was no longer dating his Siesta Key co-star on his Instagram page, @sam_jlo. Sam has 217,000 followers on Instagram, but he posts infrequently. In fact, Sam's last post from July 18 features him and Juliette kissing during his 30th birthday celebration. Unfortunately, Sam and Juliette's relationship came to a screeching halt after that post. When a fan took to Sam's comments to write, "I need to know if you and Juliette are still dating," he responded with a simple, "No." Nonetheless, Sam was criticized for spending with other women on his Instagram Stories since breaking up with his Siesta Key season 4 co-star Juliette.
In response to claims that Sam was attempting to make Juliette jealous, he said, "I'm not trying hard to make anyone jealous, I did that during my last breakup and it's immature and dumb as hell." Despite the criticism he's received from certain followers, Sam has continued to share pictures with other women via Instagram Stories. Even though Sam has confirmed the end of his relationship, fans are wondering what led to their breakup. While it's unclear what caused their split, the stars seem to have reached an understanding. Sam wrote, "[Juliette's] an amazing person some things just don't work out." Sam added that being in "the public eye" added pressure to their romance. In response, Juliette tweeted, "You can't always control a situation but you can control your response and actions." Although neither Juliette nor Sam are happy about the breakup, the pair of Siesta Key exes appear happy to move on.
Juliette and Sam seemed like they could've been a Siesta Key couple that made it all the way. Regrettably, the two weren't able to navigate exploring their relationship while facing the pressure of dating in the public eye. While fans still don't know what caused their breakup exactly, the Siesta Key stars are ready to move on to the next phase of their lives.
