Juliette Porter's boyfriend, Clark Drum, does not enjoy being in front of the camera, but this could be good for his relationship with the Siesta Key star. In the premiere of Siesta Key: Miami Moves, Juliette expressed how frustrating it is to be in a relationship with someone who refuses to be on camera when her entire life is being filmed for a reality tv show. At one point, it seemed Clark wasn't going to show up to his girlfriend's launch party for her swimsuit brand JMP The Label, but he ultimately decided to support her despite the cameras filming them.

While Juliette wishes things were different, Clark's disdain for being filmed might actually be a positive thing. In the social media era, it seems like everyone's life is out there for the world to judge, even if they aren't starring in a popular MTV reality series. However, it's healthy to keep certain things out of the spotlight, especially the intimate aspects of life, like romantic relationships. Even Kim Kardashian kept her relationship with Pete Davidson more private than she did with past partners, mostly keeping him off The Kardashians. Taylor Swift has also found peace of mind in a more quiet relationship with actor Joe Alwyn than when she was dating high-profile stars like Harry Styles. It's easy for a relationship to feel like a form of entertainment for the world to enjoy rather than a loving connection between two people once the public gets involved. If Clark makes minimal appearances on Siesta Key, it could benefit him and Juliette.

Juliette Porter's Previous Boyfriends Loved The Siesta Key Spotlight

In the past, Juliette's partners had no problem showing their faces on camera. In fact, the first person she dated on Siesta Key was Alex Kompothecras, the star of earlier seasons. Alex enjoyed being at the center of the show and didn't seem to want to share the spotlight with anyone else. Later, Juliette dated The Bachelorette's Robby Hayes and Sam Logan. Both men loved the spotlight, and this wasn't necessarily a positive thing. As Siesta Key grows more popular each season, more people will want to use Juliette for success. Her past partners definitely enjoyed the attention she brought to them. If Clark doesn't want to be on the show, that's a clear sign that he's with Juliette because he loves her as a person, not because of the life she could offer him.

It's understandable why it could be frustrating for Juliette to have her boyfriend so anti-filming. It's something she's not used to since her past partners were so willing to be on the show. Siesta Key is a massive part of Juliette's life, and it's natural for her to want her boyfriend to be a part of that. It's also difficult to be completely vulnerable and authentic on a reality tv show if one of the most important people in her life won't be a part of it. It could feel like Juliette is hiding something from viewers after years of putting her entire life on the show for everyone to watch. It could also feel like Clark doesn't understand what she needs. Sometimes people make sacrifices in relationships for the sake of the other person, and appearing on Siesta Key every once in a while shouldn't be too much to ask.

At the same time, Clark's perspective is valid as well. The show has caused so much drama in Juliette's life, so it makes sense that he wants to stay as far away from it as possible. Juliette has aired out a lot of her relationship issues on the show, and Clark clearly doesn't want to go down this same path. Both parties have strong arguments, but if Juliette really thinks it through, she'll find that keeping her relationship with Clark more private than her past relationships may actually be what's best for them, even if it doesn't bring as much entertainment to Siesta Key as she wishes.
