Camilla Cattaneo has joined Garrett Miller in not returning for Siesta Key season 5. Garrett announced on May 26 that after the season 4 finale aired, he would not be joining the cast for another season. The star explained that it wasn't his choice to leave the show, but he and MTV had contradicting ideas about his role on the show. While Juliette Porter and Sam Logan entertained fans all season long with their breakup drama, and Chloe Trautman, Cara Geswelli and Jordana Barnes continued their ongoing feud, Garrett remained pretty quiet. His only drama revolved around his friends questioning his relationship with Kenna Quesenberry, and the storyline was resolved pretty quickly.
It seems the network is getting rid of anyone who is willing to bring the heat to the series. Camilla was initially the center of one of the craziest storylines on the show. The cast member was dating Brandon Gomes, but during the Siesta Key season 3 reunion show, Camilla revealed she and Brandon were no longer together after he cheated on her and got another woman pregnant. During season 4a, Brandon began hooking up with Jordana, causing a feud between the two, which played out during the cast's island getaway. Camilla then started dating Will Gray, but their fling fizzled out quickly. Since then, she's appeared mainly as Juliette's supportive friend.
It's unclear if Camilla chose to leave the show or was fired like Garrett, but the star seems happy to be leaving the "toxic" series. Camilla shared a video on TikTok of herself singing along to "Take My Breath Away" by Berlin. The reality star captioned the video, "The feeling of leaving a reality show so I can finally be free of toxicity." Fans reacted in the comment section, with most feeling sad that Camilla will no longer be on Siesta Key.
"Noo you were one of my favs, but so happy you're free and glowing now," one fan wrote. Camilla's former co-star Kenna also commented on the video, saying, "Felt that," suggesting she's happy to be leaving the Siesta Key's environment with her boyfriend, Garrett. As for the remaining cast members, they've all relocated to Miami and seem to be filming the show in the city instead of their hometown. Jordana recently shared a photo on her Instagram Story hinting that they've already started filming season 5.
It's sad to see another Siesta Key castmate go. However, it seems it's for the best. While it may be fun to watch all the drama go down on TV, it must be exhausting to be at the center of it all. Camilla's mental well-being has to come first, especially after all she went through on the show. Though fans will miss her on Siesta Key, it's good to see her putting herself first.
