Shudder is releasing eleven brand-new and original horror movies over the course of eleven weeks - here's each title coming to the streaming service and when they will be available for viewing.

In 2020, Shudder had one of their most successful years. The streaming service released twenty-six original feature-length horror movies in total that ranged from folk horror flicks to terrifying supernatural anthologies. They added a plethora of foreign horror movies, which includes Joko Anwar's Oscar nominated ImpetigoreShudder even became the new home of the popular anthology series Slasher - previously owned by Netflix - and are set to release season 4, with David Cronenberg starring. Shudder plans on continuing their release schedule from 2020 in 2021 with a new original horror movie coming to the niche streaming service nearly every week.

COVID-19 put an abrupt halt to movie productions and delayed some of the most anticipated horror movies of 2020, but 2021 promises to be a standout moment for the genre. With the official news that Shudder is welcoming eleven new horror flicks during the first quarter of 2021, the company has already proven to be a powerhouse, just as the platform was in 2020. Hunted - January 14th

Starring Lucy Debay as Eve, Hunted reinvents the Brothers Grimm fairytale "Little Red Riding Hood." The survival horror movie features themes of sexual assault and violence against women woven into the classic tale. As Eve navigates a forest of horrors with "The Handsome Man" (Arieh Worthalter) right behind her, she comes to the realization that only she can save herself, with the assistance of a wolf, that is. Hunted released on January 14th of 2021, and is available for immediate streaming on Shudder.

The Queen Of Black Magic - January 28th

Joko Anwar returns to Shudder following the impressive success of his folk horror movie ImpetigoreThis time, the director has written a remake of The Queen Of Black Magic, which originated from Indonesia and first released in 1981. Kimo Stamboel is attached as the movie's director. The Queen of Black Magic follows a young woman with a grudge against a group of orphans who caused her to become the witch she is today. The Queen Of Black Magic stars Ario Bayu as Hanif and Hannah Al Rashid as Nadya. It will be available on Shudder January 28th, 2021.

A Nightmare Wakes - February 4th

A Nightmare Wakes follows a young Mary Shelley in Geneva, Switzerland when she conceives of the now-iconic Frankenstein story. This biopic merges the horrors that went into creating Shelley's creature while delving into the writer's psyche. As Percy Shelley, Dr. John Polidori, and Lord Byron write their own tales of terror, Mary Shelley is busy authoring what is considered the first science fiction story. A Nightmare Wakes stars Alix Wilton Regan (Mary Shelley), Giullian Yao Gioiello (Percy Shelley), Philippe Bowgen (Lord Byron), Lee Garrett (Dr. John Polidori), Claire Glassford (Claire Clairmont), and Shannon Spangler (Harriet Shelley). The Nora Unkel directed biopic comes to Shudder on February 4th.

After Midnight - February 11th

Just in time for Valentine's Day, Shudder's After Midnight follow Hank (Jeremy Gardner), who wakes one morning to discover that his partner Abby (Brea Grant) has gone missing. The only thing that could lead him to her is a single note that explains why she chose to abruptly vanish. As Hank delves into the mysterious disappearance of Abby, a strange creature begins to emerge from the perimeter surrounding the property. Jeremy Gardner and Christian Stella co-directed After Midnight, which will hit the streaming service on February 11th.

Shook - February 18th

As Lani (Nicola Posener) enjoys social media fame and all of the benefits that come with it, she steps into a nightmare where she is forced to play a twisted game or suffer the consequences. Shook delves into the horrors that come with celebrity internet culture, in particular, how it manifests when social media is involved. Jennifer Harrington's horror movie comes to Shudder on February 18th and features Lani's forced participation in a game she won't soon forget.

The Dark And The Wicked - February 25th

Bryan Bertino's The Dark And The Wicked will be available on Shudder on February 25th. The director is known for writing and directing The Strangers as well as the A24 horror movie The Monster. The Dark And The Wicked stars Julie Oliver-Touchstone as a grieving mother whose adult children, portrayed by Marin Ireland (Piercing) and Michael Abbott Jr., return to care for her. Shortly after their arrival, they discover that there is something far more sinister than the unrelenting pain of grief tormenting her.

Lucky - March 4th

Brea Grant stars as May, an young author who discovers that a man (Hunter C. Smith) is stalking her every move. Lucky is a feminist thriller that finds its lead fending for herself against a man who invades her privacy every single night. Brea Grant is proving herself to be an actor to keep an eye out for, as she is set to star in several horror movies, some of which will be available for streaming via Shudder. Natasha Kermani's Lucky will be available on March 4th.

Stay Out Of The F***ing Attic - March 11th

Stay Out Of The F***ing Attic follows a moving company and its employees after a wealthy client requests that they work through the night in their Victorian home. The movie stars Morgan Alexandria (Imani), Ryan Francis (Schillinger), Bryce Fernelius (Carlos), and Michael Flynn (Vern); their respective characters quickly discover that there's something unsettling hidden away in the house. Jerren Lauder's Stay Out Of The F***ing Attic comes to Shudder on March 11th.

Koko-Di, Koko-Da - March 18th

With childlike imagery and scenery, Koko-Di, Koko-Da has been compared to Jennifer Kent's The Babadookwhich alludes to one incredible story with even more captivating visual elements. Johannes Nyholm's movie will be available on Shudder March 18th, 2021.

Slaxx - March 18th

Shudder is growing their collection of women directed horror movies in 2021. Slaxx, directed by Elza Kephart, is one of the most prominent features, with a story so bizarre it is bound to make a name for itself as one of the top horror-comedies of the year. Romane Denis stars as Libby McClean, who may be the only person to save everyone from a possessed pair of jeans. The pants go on a killing spree through the clothing store, leaving a trail of blood and carnage. Slaxx struts onto the Shudder lineup on March 18th, 2021.

Violation - March 25
