Shudder’s Creepshow is a rare streaming series that dishes out new episodes on a weekly basis, and in an exclusive clip, horror legend Jeffrey Combs vows to get revenge on Kid Cudi and his platoon of American soldiers, only there’s something supernatural getting in the way. The anthology reboot kicked off last week with an adaptation of Stephen King’s ‘Gray Matter’ short story, and was a fitting way to launch the new series, seeing as the original 1982 movie was the twisted brainchild of both King and George Romero.

The premiere went big on recognizable stars, bringing in Giancarlo Esposito, Tobin Bell, and Adrienne Barbeau to deal with a killer beer fungus ready to take over the world (really). But this being an anthology, Creepshow is determined to give Shudder subscribers more horror bang for their buck, serving up two stories for every episode. That second story, ‘The House of the Head,’ showed a little more of what the series could accomplish, not only with a minuscule budget,  but also a very limited runtime. The result was a creepy story about a creepy little girl and her creepy haunted dollhouse. It was very effective.

But Creepshow isn’t afraid of going big again, as this exclusive clip reveals what writer-director Rob Schrab has in store. The creator of Scud: The Disposable Assassin blends horror, history, and a grindhouse aesthetic in ‘Bad Wolf Down,’ a werewolf-infused take on the usual war story. Schrab has an impressive cast, too, as he delivers the Re-Animator himself, Jeffrey Combs, as a villainous Nazi, and rapper Kid Cudi as an American soldier. Check out the exclusive clip and a synopsis of both stories from Creepshow below:

“Bad Wolf Down”

A platoon of American soldiers is forced to hide out in a dilapidated police station during WWII, but they soon discover something more sinister than war has been unleashed inside the building: a werewolf.

Written by: Rob Schrab

Directed by: Rob Schrab

Cast: Dave MacDonald, Callan Wilson, Kid Cudi, Nelson Bonilla, Jeffrey Combs, Kate Freund

“The Finger”

Clark has a passion for found objects. One day, he finds something particularly odd: a finger. He takes it home and it grows- first another finger, then an arm, then a whole creature. Clark names him Bob, and they get along great... until Bob starts murdering.

Written by: David J. Schow

Directed by: Greg Nicotero

Cast: DJ Qualls, Antwan Mills, Jake Garber

The second episode brings showrunner Greg Nicotero back to the director’s chair for an irreverent tale of a guy (DJ Qualls) who befriends a murderous monster. Like ‘Bad Wolf Down,’ it’s a perfect concept for a bite-sized horror story with plenty of humor. Fans of horror can get a weekly fix by tuning in to Creepshow every Thursday.
