The wildly popular Twilight films, based on the book by Stephanie Myers, have ended, but that doesn't mean fans aren't still excited by the series. Part of the buzz is because the Twilight films are filled with numerous famous actors with long character, and other up and coming actors who only started their careers once they starred in Twilight.

Kristin Stewart - Sarah Altman

Kristen Stewart, the actress who plays Bella, has played many different roles. She started off her career young, and her first big role was starring as Sarah Altman alongside Jodie Foster in Panic Room (2002).

Panic Room tells the story of Meg. played by Jodie Foster, and Sarah, her daughter, when they hide in a panic room in their house when intruders break-in. The twist of the movie is that the intruders are actually looking for something hidden in the panic room, and Meg and Sarah have to try to escape.

Robert Pattinson - Cedric Diggory

What many people might not know is that before Robert Pattinson was known for playing Edward Cullen, he starred in another popular movie franchise in the UK. Pattinson played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the popular and attractive young Hufflepuff who dates Cho Chang and makes Harry jealous. When Harry joins the Triwizard Tournament, he, Cederic, Fleur Delacour, and Victor Krum compete against each other.

Before everyone was heartbroken about Edward leaving in New Moon, they were devastated by Cedric's death.

Anna Kendrick - Beca

Many people probably actually know Anna Kendrick from Pitch Perfect. But did you know the singer and actress actually played Jessica Stanley in the Twilight series? Jessica is a friend of Bella's at her new high school who is jealous of all the attention Bella gets from boys at school because of her status as the new girl.

However, when Jessica realizes that Bella is only interested in Edward, who has always seemed unattainable anyways, she becomes nicer to her, and they forge a nice yet distant friendship, Jessica even attending Bella and Edward's wedding in Breaking Dawn.

Taylor Lautner - Sharkboy

What many people might not know about the actor who plays Jacob Black is that one of his first roles was Sharkboy in The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lava Girl 3-D. Taylor Lautner starred in this kid's movie about Max, a lonely 10-year-old, who gets recruited to help save the planet from the forces of evil, by Sharkboy and Lavagirl, two superheroes from his imagination, to help save their planet from the forces of evil.

The movie was actually one of the first 3-D movies shown in theatres and there were many Sharkboy and Lava Girl 3D glasses created for the occasion.

Nikki Reed - Sadie Campbell

The Twilight actress who plays Rosalie actually starred in The O.C. before she made it to the big screen. While Nikki Reed wasn't on The O.C. for long, only starring in six episodes of Season 3, and one episode in Season 4, she was still an important character who played Ryan's love interest.

The relationship doesn't last long because they realize the relationship can't work out because Ryan is going to college soon. She also used to have a relationship with Volchok, who was actually played by Cam Gigandet, another actor on this list.

Cam Gigandet - Ryan

As previously mentioned, the young actor who plays James in the first Twilight film, before he is killed by the Cullens after he stalks Bella, played Volchok on The O.C., the character who leads to Marissa's demise. While you might not have known this, you might also have not realized that Cam Gigandet starred in the 2008 martial arts film, Never Back Down, as Ryan.

The movie tells the story of Jake Tyler, a frustrated teen who starts going to a new high school and discovers an underground fight club. Gigandet's character, Ryan, coerces him into fighting.

Gil Birmingham - Virgil

The famous Comanche actor, Gil Birmingham, plays Billy, Jacob's father, in the Twilight series. What you might not have known about Gil Birmingham is that he plays Jacqueline's dad, played by Jane Krakowski, in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

There has been a lot of controversy surrounding Jacqueline's character, as the actress who plays her is not Indigenous, though both the actors who play her parents are. In Twilight, Gil Birmingham is also one of the only actors who is actually Indigenous who plays an indigenous character, which is sadly not an unusual occurrence.

Peter Facinelli - Dr. Fitch Cooper

You might not have realized that Peter Facinelli plays Dr. Fitch Cooper from Nurse Jackie, a far cry from his role as wholesome Carlisle. Nurse Jackie tells the story of Jackie Peyton, who works as an emergency room nurse. Jackie's addicted to drugs and in order to acquire them, she steals from the hospital, bends the rules to keep up with the demands of her job, and tries to deal with her messy personal life and raising her kids.

Described as the golden boy, Dr. Fitch continuously flirts with Jackie, who feels harassed and annoyed by him.

Christian Serratos - Rosita Espinosa

While Christian Serratos doesn't have a big role in the Twilight movies, she plays Angela, who is good friends with Jessica. Like Jessica, Angela is distant friends with Bella; however, unlike Jessica, she is not jealous of her but rather, she doesn't understand Bella.

Serratos, as some of you might not know, also plays Rosita Espinosa in the action-packed The Walking Dead, though this time, she's one of the main characters with a lot more screentime than her role as Angela. The roles are drastically different as Serratos is now the one battling zombies and trying to survive the apocalypse.

Dakota Fanning -Esther Greenwood

Just like Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, Dakota Fanning started off her career as a child actor, starring in roles like War of the Worlds and I am Sam. In the Twilight series, she plays Jane, a member of the Volturi who can inflict pain onto someone just by looking at them.

What you didn't know about Dakota Fanning is that she's actually currently filming the adaptation of Sylvia Plath's only novel, The Bell Jar, playing the protagonist of the novel, Esther Greenwood. Sadly, the project is currently on hold but we do hope to get to see this great actress in this exciting new adaptation.
