Episode five of Moon Knight was surprisingly very emotional and devastating as the series takes a step back into Marc Spector's dark past. There have also been several seeds planted for events yet to come. There's a ton of excitement for the upcoming finale and where Moon Knight will go next in the MCU.

Unfortunately, Moon Knight has been classified as a limited series, so fans are unsure. However, according to THR, Kevin Feige stated that Moon Knight will cross over into films following his show. In the meantime, and before his next appearance, fans have plenty of other great films and shows to check out.

Triple Frontier

The main cast of Triple Frontier walk in a menacing line.

Oscar Isaac stars in the film as a former soldier who hires his friends as mercenaries to steal money from a drug cartel and features a star-studded cast that includes Ben Affleck, Pedro Pascal, Charlie Hunnam, and Garrett Hedlund.

The film details the highs and lows of a heist and plays with important themes such as greed and corruption. The entire cast has great chemistry, and the action is well shot with high stakes. The director of the film, J.C. Chandor, previously worked with Isaac on A Most Violent Year, and his next project is Kraven the Hunter.

The Mummy

Though other MCU shows have leaned into the supernatural, Moon Knight is unique for its focus on Egyptian mythology. In Ammit's tomb, there are undead mummies attacking Harrow's crew and, later, Marc and Layla. The showcases the scarab and other powerful Egyptian artifacts from Moon Knight comics. For those looking for more Egyptian mysticism, there's no better film to watch than Stephen Sommers' The Mummy.

Starring Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz, the film is just a lighthearted throwback adventure influenced by Indiana Jones and the Universal Monsters films that came before it. Like Moon KnightThe Mummy features globetrotting action mixed with elements of horror.

Loki

Loki wears horns in Loki

In many ways, Moon Knight has really leaned into the weirder side of Marvel. Phase 4 has pushed the boundaries of the style of the MCU, introducing clever things such as the sitcom-style in WandaVision and the kooky vibe of the TVA in Loki.

Loki, in many ways, has that same quirky sense of humor as Moon Knight. The layout and weird happenings in the TVA feel slightly reminiscent of Marc and Steven's moments in the hospital. Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson, who directed episodes 2 and 4 of Moon Knight, are set to helm season 2 of Loki, a great choice given their unique sci-fi background.

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark

Many movie lovers are looking forward to Indiana Jones 5 in 2023, but the perfect movie to follow Moon Knight is Raiders of the Lost Ark. Like Marc, Indy goes on a globe-trotting adventure to find the fabled Ark of the Covenant before his enemy, Rene Belloq, can unleash its power for evil.

The premise of the film is extremely similar in structure to Moon Knight. Lead by a legendary performance from Harrison Ford, Raiders is the quintessential action-adventure film to watch. While Raiders of the Lost Ark is predominantly about Christian artifacts, it does feature interesting references to Egyptian mythology as well.

Unsane

Claire Foy in Unsane

Unsane is a creepy and truly heartbreaking psychological thriller Shot on an iPhone and made to look claustrophobic. The film follows a woman who is being stalked and is tricked into signing a consent form that ultimately ends up placing her in a mental hospital. Once there, she finds her stalker working as an orderly.

Featuring an amazing performance from Claire Foy, the film has a very similar feel to when Marc unexpectedly wakes up in the hospital and is unsure where the line is between fiction and reality.

Fight Club

Edward Norton and Brad Pitt on a train in Fight Club

In the way that Marc dissociates and becomes Steven then must uncover everything he's done in a fugue state, Fight Club is the same. Fight Club stars Edward Norton and Brad Pitt as two distinct people/personalities living in the same body. However, just like Steven doesn't know about Marc, the Narrator (Norton) is shocked when he finds out that Pitt's Tyler Durden is actually a facet of himself.

The back-and-forth between the characters is very much akin to that of Marc and Steven's interactions. The Narrator and Steven Grant are similar in a lot of ways as they both struggle to stop or control actions of their other half.

The Punisher

The Punisher glares towards the camera in his signature outfit

When it comes to dark, gritty, and violent superhero shows, The Punisher fully delivers. Jon Bernthal is unforgettable in the title role as he goes against all of the crime in New York City. Also set in the MCU, now is the perfect time to catch up on The Punisher now that it's on Disney+.

Frank Castle and Marc Spector both have a military background in common and both exact their vengeance after being left for dead or experiencing tragedy. The show does a great job at going into Castle's past and has psychologically intense action and character moments.

Synchronic

Jamie Dornan and Anthony Mackie in Moorhead and Benson's Synchronic

After seeing Moorhead and Benson's direction in the two Moon Knight episodes they helmed, their previous work is definitely worth checking out. Following their breakout hit The Endless, Moorhead and Benson were given a much bigger budget to fully realize their creative vision with Synchronic.

Starring Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan, the film follows two paramedics who investigate mysterious deaths and disappearances related to a drug that somehow transports the user back through time. The directing duo's mind-bending films made them a great choice for Moon Knight and, given their experience in time travel with this film, they will undoubtedly deliver a great sophomore season for Loki.

Split

James McAvoy laughs in Split

Oscar Isaac fully delivers in his acting when switching between the personalities of Marc and Steven in Moon KnightSplit, however, sees James McAvoy switching between 24 different characters.

James McAvoy delivers a versatile performance, though the film did receive its fair share of criticism for its vilifying portrayal of a real-world medical issue. Regardless, Split remains one of Shyamalan's highest-rates movies according to Metacritic.

Legion

David in a trippy shot in Legion.

Legion is by far one of the most unique pieces of media based on a Marvel property. The show follows Professor X's son, David Haller, a powerful mutant, who is mistakenly diagnosed with schizophrenia and boasts a suite of mental abilities.

Brilliantly portrayed by Dan Stevens, the show has a unique visual design with very psychedelic visuals due to Haller's heightened perception of reality. Like Steven Grant and Marc Spector, Haller is portrayed as an unreliable narrator. Though it only later for three seasons, Legion stands as some of the best superhero television available.
