The English voice cast for Shin Megami Tensei V has officially been revealed, and it contains a few recognizable faces from Final Fantasy VII Remake. Sega and Atlus want simultaneous worldwide releases for the Shin Megami and Persona games, and Shin Megami Tensei V appears to be one of the test subjects for this new approach.

There are lots of video game developers that aim to have all of the localization work completed at the same time. There are even some Japanese studios that prioritize completing the English dub first, as has been the case with the upcoming Final Fantasy XVI. This approach is a welcome change from the days when international fans of series like Final Fantasy and Pokémon had to wait extra months to play the latest entries.

A new trailer for Shin Megami Tensei V has been uploaded to the Official Atlus West YouTube channel. It reveals the official English voice cast for the game. The cast includes Jeannie Tirado as Tao Isonokami, Mark Whitten (Genshin Impact) as Yuzuru Atsuta, Ashlyn Madden as Miyazu Atsuta, Stuart Allan as Ichiro Dazai, Sean Crisden (Firewatch) as Hayao Koshimizu, Cissy Jones as Abdiel, Ben Lepley as Shohei Yakumo, Laura Post as Nuwa, Casey Mongillo (Neon Genesis Evangelion) as the protagonist, Kellen Goff (My Hero Academia) as Lahmu, Chris Hackney (Mobile Suit Gundam SEED) as Fionn mac Cumhaill, and Deva Marie as Amanozako. Shin Megami Tensei V will also feature Daman Mills as Aogami, who had previously played Weiss the Immaculate in FF7 Remake Intergrade

Mills isn't the only FF7 Remake alumn who is appearing in the game, as Erica Lindbeck will be voicing Sahori Itsukishima. Lindbeck played Jessie Rasberry in the FF7 Remakegiving pathos to a role that was much smaller in the original game. She has also appeared in other Shin Megami Tensei games in the past, including playing Asahi in Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse and Futaba Sakura in Persona 5 and its spin-offs.

Shin Megami Tensei V has a seasoned voice cast, and it will be great to hear their performances in the game. It's even more exciting to know that Atlus is serious about ensuring that the English language dub is worked on ahead of launch. The days of fans waiting extra to play the latest Persona and Shin Megami Tensei are hopefully coming to an end with this new series installment.
