Warning! This article contains spoilers for She-Hulk: Attorney At Law episode 8She-Hulk: Attorney At Law episode 8 just proved that the writers of the show knew exactly what predictions and theories audiences were going to make, especially around a possible Red Hulk. While episode 8 was fairly self-contained, as with the other episodes of She-Hulk thus far, the episode's ending left off on a huge cliffhanger going into the season finale. Shortly before this though, Jen made one of her fourth-wall-breaking references to the camera which proved the show predicted audience Red Hulk theories.

She-Hulk episode 8 was finally the week to introduce Daredevil to the show, something fans have waited for since seeing the first glimpse of the Man Without Fear in 2022's Comic-Con trailer. Despite the overall excitement of the episode and Daredevil's MCU return, the ending of the episode focused on what has been set up in brief snippets throughout She-Hulk's first season: Intelligencia's tirade of hate against Jen coming to a head. Several setups throughout the season have led to the proliferation of fan theories about the group, with the reference from Jen proving they were somewhat intentional. Many of these theories revolve around none other than Red Hulk, who has been heavily theorized to be coming to the MCU for some time, especially after the events of She-Hulk.

In She-Hulk episode 8, Jen makes a direct reference to the camera about Red Hulk stating, "Is it the kinda twist that's like: there's another Hulk but this one's red?". Unless this scene was a result of very recent reshoots added into She-Hulk episode 8, which is highly unlikely, this proves that the showrunners predicted this theory from fans a long time ago. She-Hulk season 1 was shot between April and June 2021, meaning that Jen's line referencing Red Hulk was likely included in the script well before then. This is either an impressive feat for the writing team behind She-Hulk, knowing that fans would theorize that the storyline about Jen's blood would lead to Red Hulk, or proves that the hints and teases throughout She-Hulk were intentionally made to lead to Red Hulk speculation, hence the self-awareness of the script.

She-Hulk Tricked You Into Your Evil Hulk Predictions

She-Hulk Red Hulk Intelligencia

Given the nature of the hints and the evidence behind the Red-Hulk theories in She-Hulk, however, it is more than likely that the showrunners intended to make fans theorize in this way. Firstly, one of the recurring plot lines of She-Hulk season 1 has been people wanting her blood. This was teased as early as episode 3 when the Wrecking Crew were shown to attack Jen for an unknown boss who wanted a sample of She-Hulk's blood. This then went further in She-Hulk episode 6 with the establishment of Josh, and Intelligencia. Intelligencia was shown to be an incel-like hate group dedicated to She-Hulk that was behind the attempts to steal her blood. Josh, who got close to Jen by going on dates with her, was shown to be part of this group and stole her personal data and a blood sample, revealed at the end of She-Hulk episode 7.

All of this, combined with the reveal of Intelligencia being behind the attacks, is what convinced fans that Red Hulk was coming to the MCU. After all, Intelligencia was the group behind Red Hulk's creation in the comic books, and the same group in the MCU wanting to steal Jen's blood means that creating their own Hulk as in the comics is a very real possibility. Regardless, all of this evidence sprinkled throughout She-Hulk was intentional, meaning that the Red Hulk predictions are not exactly far off. Whether the She-Hulk season finale confirms these theories as true remains to be seen, but it is clear by the ending of She-Hulk: Attorney At Law episode 8 that Intelligencia will play a big role, regardless of the appearance of Red Hulk or not.
