WARNING: Spoilers for She-Ra and The Princesses of Power seasons 1-4 ahead.

Netflix's She-Ra and The Princesses of Power is one of the best shows to come out of the streaming giant's Originals slate, so fans are already looking forward to season 5. The She-Ra reboot is an unapologetically queer incarnation of the 1980s classic and offers a technicolor exploration of magic, power and friendship. It also pushes its beloved characters to their darkest limits, especially in the recently released season 4.

She-Ra season 4 ended with Etherea moving out of Despondos, the parallel dimension where Mara (the previous She-Ra) had placed it for protection. Hordak Prime also made a dramatic entrance after following the powerful signal emitted from the Heart of Etherea, the First Ones' deadly weapon buried into the planet's core. Glimmer, Catra and Hordak Junior were taken by Hordak Prime, who isn't happy with how Hordak Junior has managed the conquest of Etherea thus far.  Oh, and Adora destroyed the Sword of Protection, which means she's no longer She-Ra (for now).

It's not all huge cliff-hangers, however. She-Ra season 4 finally explained Mara's past and revealed Light Hope to be a villain (sort of). It also brought back King Micah, Glimmer's father, who was thought to be dead this whole time. With so much going on and so many questions left unanswered, there's definitely plenty of material to fill at least another season. Here's everything you need to know about She-Ra season 5:

She-Ra Season 5 Hasn't Been Confirmed (Yet)

Netflix has yet to confirm whether or not She-Ra season 5 will happen, but it's looking very likely. Season 4 definitely set things up for another season, which could be She-Ra's final. Speaking with Animation Magazine, She-Ra creator Noelle Stevenson said: "When I first pitched the show, I approached it as if it had one season, but we now have four arcs of 13 episodes done." We're currently 39 episodes in, so it figures that a 13-episode fifth season could wrap things up for She-Ra and the gang, at least for the current storyline.

She-Ra Season 3 Hordak

There's been no news from Netflix or Stevenson on when fans can expect She-Ra season 5 to drop on the streaming service. However, if previous seasons are anything to go by, the wait shouldn't be too long. Season 1 was released in November 2018, with season 2 following in April, season 3 in August and season 4 in November of this year. Judging by that pattern, She-Ra season 5 could arrive as early as April 2020. It's also possible that season 5 will be split in two, the same way season 2 and 3 were.

Hordak Prime and Glimmer She-Ra

She-Ra season 5 will undoubtedly focus on Hordak Prime, who has finally made it to Etherea after four seasons of set-up. Hordak Prime's desire for "peace and order" will likely cause a lot of trouble for the Rebellion. Despite no longer being She-Ra, Adora is as determined as ever to keep fighting for what's right. Her and Bow set out to rescue Glimmer at the end of season 4, so things are looking up for the trio after a season of constant fighting.

The Best Friend Squad is not the only reunion fans can look forward to witnessing in She-Ra season 5. Glimmer and her father should be reunited, too. Plus, it wouldn't be surprising if Entrapta were to convince Hordak Junior to join the Rebellion now that she's back from Beast Island. It's also likely Double Trouble will continue playing both sides, until they figure out which one is the winning one. As things stand, it's anyone's game.
