Netflix's She-Ra and the Princesses of Power season 4 adds Double Trouble, and at New York Comic Con star Aimee Carrero teases another mystery character joining the show. Based on the classic Masters of the Universe characters, showrunner Noelle Stevenson has adapted She-Ra to a new animated series for Netflix. She-Ra season 4 is set to release on Netflix Nov. 5 - with all 13 episodes dropping at once.

So far in the series, Adora (Carrero) discovered the Sword of Protection and became She-Ra, then defected from the Horde in order to team up with Glimmer (Karen Fukuhara) and Bow (Marcus Scribner) to establish the Princess Alliance. But while Adora, Glimmer and Bow are the key figures on the side of good, they're contrasted by Adora's childhood best friend Catra (AJ Michalka), who's risen through the ranks of the Horde. Catra has amassed her own group of followers that includes Horde members like Scorpia (Lauren Ash). As revealed in the She-Ra season 4 trailer and posters, Catra will also get a new ally in the form of Double Trouble (Jacob Tobia). However, Double Trouble won't be the only new addition to She-Ra and the Princesses of Power this year.

While at New York Comic Con earlier this month, the cast and showrunner of She-Ra teased not only Double Trouble, but another new character joining the show in season 4. During roundtable interviews at NYCC, Carrero was asked what she's most excited for fans to see in She-Ra season 4. She said, "There’s a new character that is really cool. It’s very cool and everyone’s gonna love it. … There is a new character, it’s a real good character, it’s a great arc." When asked if she was referring to Double Trouble, though, Carrero said, "Yes, but there’s someone else too. Double Trouble and someone else, someone you’re not expecting, like a blast from the past. It’s really cool."

It's unclear who this new She-Ra character could be, but it might be an adaptation of a classic Masters of the Universe character. After all, She-Ra season 3 introduced Tung Lashor to the series, though not the Snake Men, the group of villains to which Tung Lashor belongs. But fans at least know to look forward to Double Trouble in She-Ra season 4, who is a non-binary shapeshifting mercenary allied with the Horde, according to Stevenson. The showrunner also teased, "They are so much fun. They cause so much trouble, true to their name, and I think that fans are just going to love them." Voice actress Michalka also previewed what fans can expect from Double Trouble's relationship to Catra:

I don’t know how much we can talk about Double Trouble yet. Even though that character - that name - has been introduced, I don’t know how much we can say. But they will work closely with Catra’s character and it’ll be kind of an interesting dynamic between them. Bit of a sidekick, I think, to Catra.

Ash, who voices Catra's right-hand Scorpia, described Double Trouble's addition to the Horde team as, "Definitely throwing some gas on the fire." Altogether, the cast was excited for fans to meet Double Trouble, though the character does not make their debut in the She-Ra season 4 premiere, which screened at NYCC. The Double Trouble character does have history within the Masters of the Universe franchise, having appeared before as a double agent working for She-Ra and the rebellion. So perhaps that indicates just what kind of trouble this new character will be getting into. Fans will have to tune in and find out when She-Ra returns.
