Netflix's She-Ra and the Princesses of Power Season 2 Trailer Released

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power Season 1 Finale

Netflix's She-Ra and the Princesses of Power season 2 trailer and poster reveal the further adventures - and battles - of Adora and Catra. Last fall, Netflix debuted the first season of their She-Ra reboot, which reimagines titular character Adora (Aimee Carrero) as a soldier for the Evil Horde who discovers a magical sword in the forest one day and, using the phrase "For the Honor of Grayskull!" turns into the warrior She-Ra. Developed for television by Eisner Award-winning writer Noelle Stevenson, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power season 1 won over critics and fans alike, particularly thanks to the relationship between Adora and her childhood friend Catra (AJ Michalka).

As a result, Netflix renewed She-Ra and the Princesses of Power for season 2. Earlier this year, it was announced that She-Ra season 2 will premiere in late April. The show's return will no doubt build off of the She-Ra season 1 finale, which featured Adora and the Princess Alliance teaming up against Catra and the Evil Horde in a battle for Bright Moon. Much of season 1 followed Adora as she assembled the Princess Alliance, which includes Glimmer (Karen Fukuhara), Bow (Marcus Scribner), Perfuma (Genesis Rodriguez), Mermista, Frosta (Merit Leighton) and Sea Hawk (Jordan Fisher). Now, the trailer for season 2 teases what's next for residents of Etheria.

Netflix released the She-Ra and the Princesses of Power season 2 trailer during the show's WonderCon 2019 panel; it can be viewed below. The teaser arrives after the first poster for the show's sophomore season was unveiled at Emerald City Comic Con on March 16. Watch the trailer and check out the poster below.

In addition to the trailer and the previously released season 2 poster, the She-Ra WonderCon panel unveiled a batch of images from the upcoming season. The images feature a few shots of the Princess Alliance preparing to battle the Horde, which is now lead by Hordak's new second-in-command, Catra. Her team can also be seen in the trailer and images, including the two defected princesses, Entrapta and Scorpia. Check out the season 2 images below.

Based on the trailer and images, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power season 2 will continue to include all the things fans enjoyed about season 1. The fully realized Princess Alliance means fans will get to see even more of Mermista, Perfuma, Frosta and the rest of the princesses, but the Best Friend Squad will remain the focus of the series. And for those excited to see what's next for the relationship between Catra and Adora after their devastating fallout in season 1, it seems they'll face off once again in season 2.

Now that the trailer for She-Ra season 2 is here, fans have a better idea of what to expect from the show's next outing. But with the series not set to return until the end of April, fans have little more than a month until they She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is officially back.
