When it comes to shipping in fandom and fanfiction, not all of the configurations have to be between two people. Shipping has always been a palace where fans can explore relationships that might not be as common in mainstream media, which is why there have always been many popular LGBTQIA+ ships in all kinds of fandoms.

One part of shipping that is too often overlooked is the polyamorous ship. Things like OT3s, OT4s, and platonic friendship groupings are quite popular, but they are often not discussed outside of fandom circles. She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is one franchise that is particularly well-suited to multi-ships of both a romantic and platonic nature.

Kyle, Rogelio, and Lonnie

These three might be side characters, but many fans love them. Kyle and Rogelio are a common monogamous ship, and there is some indication outside of canon that they might be a couple.

However, Lonnie is also a big part of their friendship, and so it makes sense that they would all be extremely close even if not all romantically linked. It’s entirely possible for some people in a triad situation to be more romantically linked than others.

Netossa, Spinnerella, and Perfuma

Netossa and Spinnerella are married on the show, and they seem to be happy in a committed relationship. So, it’s not entirely likely that they would be with anyone else.

But, as far as imagination and shipping go, they seem like they would get along well with Perfuma who is overall an easy person to get along with and friendly with them both.

Perfuma, Scorpia, and Catra

This is probably one of the less common groupings on this list, but it is still one that can be found when searching for She-Ra fan fiction.

The creator of the series, Noelle Stevenson, has tweeted artwork of Perfuma and Scorpia as a couple, and after everything settles and Catra has her redemption, it’s not impossible to imagine that she might become close to Scorpia while still maintaining her relationship with Perfuma.

Scorpia, Perfuma, and Mermista

These three princesses of power are both amazing in their own ways. As Scorpia and Perfuma are already implied by Stevenson to be dating, it’s not much of a stretch to imagine they could have a close friendship or romantic relationship with someone like Mermista.

They are all good friends, and the great thing about She-Ra is how it doesn’t really make romantic relationships out to be more important than friendships.

Bow, Seahawk, and Mermista

Seahawk and Mermista are one of the canon pairings from the series, but Bow and Seahawk have also often had a flirtation going on.

They are jovial friends who get along well, and they would be really cute as boyfriends. While Mermista might not have shown interest in Bow, a triangle situation with Seahawk at the center would make sense here.

Scorpia, Entrapta, and Catra

These three start out having a lot of toxic dynamics as Catra treats the other two very poorly. Scorpia is a much better friend than Catra deserves. While Entrapta might seem to be more on the asexual spectrum to some degree, fan fiction is a great way to explore the friendships between these three in a healthier way, and not every member of a polyamorous relationship needs to relate to the others int he same way.

This group is known in the fandom as the Super Pal Trio as a sort of riff off of the relationships and friendships between the three lead characters.

Adora, Bow, and Glimmer

This is one of the most popular friendship ships from the series, and these three are often referred to as the Best Friend Squad. The relationships they have with one another are really important and strong even if they are platonic.

However, there are moments between them that could seem more romantic, so this is another fun possibility to explore in different ways. While Adora and Bow don't necessarily seem to have romantic feelings for each other, their commitment as friends is also valuable.

Adora, Catra, and Glimmer

While Adora and Catra end up together in the series, there are also times where Adora and Glimmer seem like they could be a good romantic couple. There is a lot of tension between these three characters and often Adora is split between Glimmer and Cato in her loyalties.

Because of this, this triad is particularly fun for fans to explore. While Catra and Glimmer become allies and even friends eventually, exploring this relationship through a romantic lens that isn't consistent with the canon story definitely has some merit.

Adora, Catra, Glimmer, and Bow

Similar to the Best Friend Squad, including Catra is another nearly canon polycule of best friends that also contains dating relationships.

Catra and Adora are together while Glimmer and Bow are romantically linked. There’s a lot of potential for different configurations here of varying degrees of platonic and romantic. And, however fans like to see them, these four as so adorable. Fans have also been lucky to see these four featured in some amazing art by Noelle Stevenson
