The She-Hulk: Attorney At Law finale gave audiences one more appearance from Benedict Wong's Wong, and the joke may have teased a bigger role for him going forward. After supporting roles in a few episodes, Wong's return in She-Hulk episode 9's post-credits scene brought him back to break Abomination (Tim Roth) out of Damage Control's prison. The scene includes Emil Blonsky asking Wong if he is late because he was "sucked in another show," which Wong seemingly agrees with by mentioning the current era of peak TV. However, Marvel may have also used the exchange to cleverly tease Wong's future.

The obvious joke of She-Hulk's post-credits scene is a continuation of Wong's TV obsession that the series featured before, and that very well may be the main intention. But it is also possible to read the exchange as a subtle fourth-wall break by Abomination. Wong may have literally been sucked into another show if Marvel Studios decided to bring the MCU's new Sorcerer Supreme back for another MCU show. This would continue the trend of making Wong the franchise's new Coulson and having him be the connective character across its various corners. She-Hulk already made it clear Marvel knows how much audiences love Wong, so using the final scene to tease his return would not be surprising.

Upcoming MCU Shows Wong Could Return In

Looking at the slate of upcoming MCU Disney+ shows, there are a few that stand out as potential places for Wong to appear. Following reports that Marvel's powerful demon villain Mephisto in Ironheart, the series could be a good landing spot for the Sorcerer Supreme. Since it is his job to protect Earth from supernatural threats, Wong ignoring Sacha Baron Cohen's Mephisto would be a terrible oversight by him. It is also possible that Wong's return comes with another MCU show, Agatha: Coven of Chaos. The series is much more heavily tied to the mystical side of the MCU, and he could make a trip to Westview to check on Agatha.

Other than Ironheart and Agatha: Coven of Chaos, there are not any other confirmed MCU Disney+ shows that are great fits for Wong. He does not have any real reason to show up in Secret Invasion or Daredevil: Born Again. The various rumored MCU shows also do not provide any matches for future Wong appearances. It is possible that he eventually appears in a Ghost Rider series to make sure Donny Blaze has not rebranded himself.

Is Marvel Finally Going To Give Wong A Solo Disney+ Show?

The other option for She-Hulk's final Wong joke could be that Marvel is finally going to give him a solo series. There has been a growing call for a Wong movie or Disney+ show throughout Phase 4, with Doctor Strange 2 even setting up a fun possibility where he trains the new generation of sorcerers. Many would even be satisfied with an adventure-of-the-week-type show where Wong has to prevent another supernatural threat from invading Earth. Now that She-Hulk: Attorney At Law's finale left audiences with a tease of Wong and Abomination sticking together, that itself could be the setup for a series starring the unlikely pairing.
