She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will see many characters appearing in the MCU for the first time, including the formation of a secret new superhero team. A popular character in the comics, Jenifer Walters’ She-Hulk will make her MCU debut in the series, starring Tatiana Maslany in the lead role. The show will also feature Jameela Jamil as Titania, with Mark Ruffalo and Tim Roth returning to their MCU characters Hulk and Abomination.

Pitched as a courtroom comedy-drama, very little information has been disclosed about specific plot details of the upcoming nine-part Disney+ series. She-Hulk’s teaser trailer provided a first look at Walters’ transformed state and hinted that the show may focus on her attempting to find a sense of normality amid a superhero life she never asked for. Aside from bringing Abomination back for a larger MCU role, the teaser also suggests that the series will go some way towards forming a new team of superheroes.

The teaser reveals that Walters’ firm is in the process of putting together “a superhuman law division” with her as the lead member. With several noteworthy lawyers both in Marvel comics and already in the MCU, it seems logical that the series will assemble an Avengers-style team to take on legal cases of the superhuman nature. The teaser provides no hints as to which characters may be called on to join the group, but possibilities from the comics include Multiple Man and Beetle, as well as the most famous lawyer in Marvel comics, Daredevil.

Will Daredevil Appear In She-Hulk? No Way Home Set It Up Featured

While Daredevil’s potential She-Hulk appearance as a member of Walters’ legal team seems the most obvious scenario, both James Madrox’s Multiple Man and Janice Lincoln’s Beetle would be interesting introductions. Madrox, a mutant with the ability to create duplicates of himself, is a lesser-known character in the comics but, with one of his duplicates going to law school and becoming an entertainment lawyer in Los Angeles, the character could provide yet another hint of the X-Men’s MCU introduction. In the comics, Janice Lincoln is the daughter of the iconic Spider-Man villain, Tombstone, and takes the mantle of Beetle mainly as an antagonist. Despite this, Lincoln is also an attorney and therefore could be prime to join Walters’ team as something of an anti-hero. Notably, a version of Lincoln already appeared in the MCU as a part of Mysterio’s evil team in Spider-Man: Far From Home; though the multiverse could ensure that a Beetle variant was possible in the future.

After his cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Daredevil has the highest probability of being called upon to join Walters’ She-Hulk team. Far from just being “a really good lawyer,” No Way Home demonstrated that the MCU’s version of the character had all the superpowers that he demonstrated in the Netflix Daredevil series. With Disney+ currently working on a new show for Daredevil, Matt Murdock would make a strong cameo in She-Hulk, setting up his future MCU role in the process.

With the roster for the MCU Phase 4 and 5 Avengers ever-changing, establishing a new superhero team would be a good way to create a backbone for the MCU. Walters’ skill as a lawyer is one of her defining factors in the comics and the series looks set to show her develop into her role as a superhero as well. The team of superhuman lawyers teased in the She-Hulk: Attorney at Law trailer could mean that the show is not only tasked with introducing a new hero and villain but an entirely new supergroup as well.
