Marvel's She-Hulk is known for her strength as an Avenger on the battlefield and as a lawyer in the courtroom, but a second rarely-seen superpower of hers nearly killed Spider-Man. The character wasn't always known as a fourth wall-breaker, but nowadays the ability has become one of her defining attributes (though she doesn't do it nearly as much as Deadpool). She-Hulk Sensational begins with a uniquely-accomplished fourth wall break that almost ends in disaster for a certain popular Peter Parker.

She-Hulk has a somewhat odd character history. The Incredible Hulk television show was quite popular in the late 70s and Marvel Comics were worried that the show's producers would own the rights to an eventual female version of the Hulk should they decide to introduce one - so Marvel decided to beat them to it, and created She-Hulk in 1980 before the TV show could get a chance. Bruce Banner's cousin Jennifer Walters received a transfusion of his blood after being seriously wounded in a shooting. The blood grants her all of the Hulk's abilities...but She-Hulk learned how to break the fourth wall on her own.

In She-Hulk Sensational #1, Jennifer Walters angrily returns to her apartment after a long day. She's battled supervillains, has a high-stress job as a lawyer, and has superpowers - but she's turning 30 and furious about it. Angry, she takes the narration boxes down from the comic panel, crumples it into a ball, and hurls it at tremendous speed out the window - nearly hitting poor Spider-Man in the process, who dodges it while saying "Hey! Watch it! Words can hurt, y'know!"

This is not the first time She-Hulk has smashed the fourth wall, but it is one of the most unique ways to accomplish the task. Out of every Marvel character, only Deadpool and She-Hulk are aware they are fictional characters in the comic book. To drive the point home, the rest of the story is a Christmas Carol pastiche in which She-Hulk meets versions of herself from the past (the s0-called Savage She-Hulk), the present (her lawyer form), and the future (the 'Misstro', a female version of the Maestro). The entire affair is introduced by none other than Stan Lee - whom She-Hulk can actually see.

As for Spider-Man, he has no hard feelings (his reflexes have allowed him to dodge objects that move much faster). Still, Jennifer Walters can succumb to the same fits of rage as her cousin and the same deadly consequences can occur if she loses control of her powers. Fortunately, She-Hulk retains the same personality when she transforms - a feat that Bruce Banner can only occasionally accomplish - meaning Spider-Man is relatively safe from further fourth wall-acquired objects.
