Tatiana Maslany, star of the upcoming She-Hulk, has revealed that she will be singing some songs on the show. The series is one of the upcoming MCU shows for Disney+, debuting some time in 2022. Consisting of ten episodes, She-Hulk is helmed by Jessica Gao, a writer on Rick and Morty. After a year off in 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Marvel Studios has been releasing a lot of content for the fans and branching out onto Disney+. Through these series, Marvel Studios has been able to introduce audiences to new characters and spend time with old ones in a new type of format.

She-Hulk will follow the fourth-wall breaking Jennifer Walters, played by Maslany. She is the cousin to Bruce Banner/Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), who will also appear on the show. In the comics, Walters undergoes a life-saving blood transfusion from Banner and ends up getting powers similar to his. Walters is also a lawyer by day, which will be explored on the show. Details on the plot are currently unknown, but the show will also see a returning face in Tim Roth's Abomination. Jameela Jamil, Ginger Gonzaga, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Josh Segarra also star.

Now, Maslany has revealed that her character will be singing at some point on the upcoming Disney+ show. During an appearance on the podcast, Scott Hasn't Seen (via CBR.com), she mentions two songs that she will sing: "Fever" by Madonna and "It Ain't Easy Being Green." The interviewers set off the questions by asking if there will be "any sexy songs" in the show and if "they got [her] singing," to which Maslany reveals the two aforementioned songs.

why She Hulk breaks the fourth wall

Having the main character in the series break into song will definitely be something new for the MCU. Recently, in the Hawkeye show on Disney+, there was a musical that Hawkeye and his family saw called "Rogers," which was based on major MCU events. Other than that short scene, there has not really been much in regards to musical numbers in the MCU. She-Hulk is clearly taking a step in a new direction with the songs, which seems to be the trend with the Disney+ shows. The songs are also a fun fit for the character, especially "It Ain't Easy Being Green."

She-Hulk will already be vastly different from the MCU by being a legal comedy show with a lighter tone and Walters breaking the fourth wall, so fans are definitely in for a treat when the songs appear too. The show already has a lot of ground to cover, such as dealing with Banner's role going forward, so hopefully audiences are able to enjoy the many exciting plots it will set up. 2022 is looking to be an exciting and different year for Marvel Studios, and She-Hulk is certainly shaping up to be a new experience.
