Tim Roth gives an update on the production and release date for She-Hulk, the actor's first major return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Created by Jessica Gao, the Emmy-winning mind behind Rick and Morty's "Pickle Rick" episode, the series will mark the MCU debut of Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who specializes in cases involving superhumans. Walters also has the ability to transform into a large, powerful and green-hued version of herself.

Tatiana Maslany is leading the cast of She-Hulk in the titular role alongside the MCU returns of Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk and Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/Abomination. The series will also mark the MCU debuts of Ginger Gonzaga as Walters' best friend, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Josh Segarra and Jameela Jamil as She-Hulk's rival Titania. Production on She-Hulk got underway in April 2021 and now those behind the series are offering new insight into when audiences can expect to feast their eyes on the show.

Roth recently appeared on Dempsey Pilot's On Tape podcast to discuss his recently released drama Sundown. When asked about his return to the MCU, Roth offered updates on the production and release for She-Hulk, confirming filming is done on the series but that he doesn't know when it's coming out. See what Roth shared below:

"Yeah, we shot that - I think they're still working on it, because of all the post-production elements... I don't know when it's coming out, I actually don't know. I haven't got a clue."

Tim Roth She-Hulk

Given the secretive nature of the show itself and Marvel's library as a whole, it seems likely that even if Roth did know the release window for She-Hulk, he wouldn't be allowed to say it. However, with his note that the show is still in the post-production stages, his statement of not knowing the release date could hold some weight, as the inclusion of multiple green-hued superhumans could necessitate extra work in the visual effects department than that of Disney+'s recent MCU title Hawkeye. That being said, with She-Hulk having wrapped principal photography in August 2021, it seems likely that the series is nearly ready to go.

It may not come as much of a surprise that the She-Hulk release date is currently unset given the Moon Knight premiere date was only just announced in January, two months before it was revealed to be coming to Disney+. With both the Maslany series and Ms. Marvel scheduled to premiere in mid-2022 and the month of June being wide open for a new MCU title to fill the gap between Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder, it seems likely one of the two shows will premiere in that month. Only time will tell when audiences can see Roth's MCU return in She-Hulk in the near future.
