She-Hulk: Attorney at Law may feature more of Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock, a.k.a. Daredevil, than was originally expected, teases the show's head writer. The MCU is about to wrap up Phase 4 in the fall of 2022, with their final theatrical film in this era, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Over on Disney+, the final Phase 4 show to hit the streaming service from the MCU will be She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, starring Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters. The Disney+ original will follow Jennifer's evolution in becoming the titular heroine, who is cousins with Bruce Banner, with Mark Ruffalo reprising the role of the Hulk.

For several months, there were multiple She-Hulk: Attorney at Law rumors that Charlie Cox would be appearing in the series as Daredevil. Much of what fueled those rumors was his cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home, marking his official entry into the MCU after Netflix canceled Daredevil at the end of season 3. After staying silent on the rumor for a long time, Disney+ and Marvel Studios finally confirmed his return to be true during this year's San Diego Comic-Con when they dropped a new trailer for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. The footage ended with She-Hulk crossing paths with Cox's Daredevil, who has donned the red-and-yellow suit from the comics.

While plot details are being kept under wraps, in true Marvel Studios fashion, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law head writer Jessica Gao spoke in depth about adding Cox's Daredevil to the series. In an interview with Collider at San Diego Comic-Con, Gao revealed that they were shocked when Marvel Studios actually greenlit their idea to feature the Devil of Hell's Kitchen in the new series. However, Gao may have also strongly hinted at the idea that She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will feature more Daredevil than initially expected, sharing the following:

"I don't think we ever, in a million years, thought that we would be allowed to use them, because we didn't know what the status was of the character. And then, I can't remember how, we got wind that he was coming back and that it was Charlie Cox, and we were like, 'Wait, does that I mean we can use him? Are we allowed?' And when they told us yeah, I mean, we couldn't believe it, we thought we were being pranked. We just kept writing him in, and we kept rolling with the story just thinking like, 'Okay, any moment now they're going to tell us we can't use them. They made a mistake. They actually don't have the rights.' But it just kept [becoming] more and more real. And it was so hard to keep that secret!"

She-Hulk Trailer 4k Jennifer Tatiana Maslany

Unlike some of the more recent Disney+ MCU shows, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will have 9 episodes, each being 30 minutes long. Despite the major reveal in the trailer, it hasn't been specified how many episodes Cox's Daredevil will be appearing in throughout She-Hulk: Attorney at Law season 1. However, whatever Matt's arc in this show is, it may set up Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio's returns in Echo, which will premiere in 2023.

What exactly brings Daredevil over to She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will be interesting to see, especially if they are going to touch upon the fact that both Matt and Jennifer are lawyers. This, in turn, could set up a potential She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Daredevil: Born Again crossover, as Cox will be getting a sequel series on Disney+ in 2024 that is reported to be a continuation of his Netflix show, without being dubbed season 4. Regardless of how much Daredevil will be featured in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, it will be exciting to see Cox nonetheless be back as the beloved Marvel vigilante.
