Warning: Spoilers for She-Hulk: Attorney At Law

She-Hulk: Attorney At Law’s ending hinted at the possibility of the Disney+ series continuing for a second season. The She-Hulk season 1 finale wrapped up Jennifer Walters’ conflict with the Intelligencia while also leaving the door open for more stories. A return could put Tatiana Maslany’s character back in the courtroom as She-Hulk and possibly feature more MCU guest stars and new Marvel Comics characters.

Now that She-Hulk season 1 has ended, Marvel has officially concluded its slate of TV shows for Phase 4, thus leaving Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special as the only remaining MCU projects for 2022. While some shows, like WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, were only single-season MCU installments, both Loki and Marvel’s What If…? are already confirmed to be coming back in Phase 5. Similar to them, She-Hulk has the feel of a show that could go on for another season – if not longer.

Will There Be A She-Hulk Season 2? What We Know

According to She-Hulk head writer Jessica Gao, the series was approached as a story that would only last one season because there was “no guarantee” of a continuation. She-Hulk season 2 certainly hasn’t been ruled out, as both Gao and director Kat Coiro have been open to the possibility. Coiro claimed that the only person who knows She-Hulk’s future is Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige.

How She-Hulk Season 1's Finale Sets Up She-Hulk Season 2

She-Hulk Season 1 Episode 9 Finale

Few shows have set up additional seasons as directly as She-Hulk did, as the real-world sequence in episode 9 saw the people in the writers’ room openly talk about their season 2 plans with She-Hulk. Whether or not this tease will pan out remains to be seen, but enough happened in season 1 to provide some clues on where Marvel could take the story in the future. If she’s come back, it makes sense that she’ll continue her legal career and perhaps spend some time as a superhero, especially since that seemed to be the path Daredevil was nudging her toward in episode 8. In addition to doing more with that and perhaps even The Man Without Fear himself, She-Hulk could potentially bring back Abomination, Smart Hulk, and the Wrecking Crew.

She-Hulk Season 2 Release Date: Could It Fit In The MCU's Phases 5 Or 6?

If Marvel does greenlight She-Hulk season 2, there’s a chance it could be a part of the Multiverse Saga. Depending on when Marvel begins work on it, it could release sometime in 2024 at the earliest, possibly as a late entry into Phase 5. Or, Marvel could hold it until Phase 6. Either scenario is feasible, considering that Marvel does have several unannounced projects with 2024 and 2025 release dates. Theoretically, one could go to She-Hulk.

Will She-Hulk Appear In An MCU Movie Or Another Show?

It’s worth noting that She-Hulk season 2 isn’t the only option for an additional appearance from Jennifer Walters in the MCU. The decision to have her develop a romantic relationship with Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock makes her a strong candidate for a role in Phase 5’s Daredevil Born Again. There’s also the matter of what’s going on with Smart Hulk, whose story in the She-Hulk: Attorney At Law season finale felt like setup for a mystery Hulk project, which may or may not be a movie. If so, the finale’s joke about her being on the “big screen” could turn out to be a tease of what's to come. If that’s really where Marvel is going with the characters, She-Hulk could end up joining Smart Hulk for a new MCU adventure.
