Warning! This article contains spoilers for Avengers #45!

Both Daredevil and She-Hulk share a reputation for being skilled lawyers and dedicated superheroes at the same time. Compared to other superheroes with day jobs, this is especially impressive given the rigorous amount of time and effort it takes to earn a law degree. And while fans of both these characters have often debated which of the two is the better lawyer, the most recent issue of The Avengers seems to confirm once and for all that when it comes to practicing law She-Hulk is in a class of her own.

In Avengers #45 by Jason Aaron, Luca Maresca, and David Curiel, Earth's Mightiest Heroes have returned to Avengers mountain in the Arctic to train themselves in the aftermath of the recently concluded King in Black event. But while Captain America, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel spend their free time upgrading their equipment and training to be physically stronger, Jennifer Walters is busy studying law. But not just earth, also law-intergalactic law. That's the kind of dedication to her craft that makes She-Hulk one of the only lawyers Captain America trusts to represent him in court.

And this isn't the first time She-Hulk has dabbled in intergalactic law. During Dan Slott's 2004 run on She-Hulk, Jennifer was once offered a job by the Magistrati, the cosmic enforcers of law and order throughout the multiverse. While working for the Magistrati, She-Hulk was instructed in Universal law by the Living Tribunal, one of Marvel's most powerful abstract entities. So in addition to being a top-notch lawyer on earth, She-Hulk is also considered one of the finest legal minds in the entire Multiverse!

Studying intergalactic law and representing multiversal beings would make She-Hulk possibly one of the smartest lawyers in all of fiction. But it also speaks to the one major difference between Daredevil and She-Hulk as far as lawyer skills go. Even though She-Hulk is a full-time lawyer and a member of the Avengers, she still finds the time to study intergalactic law to improve her legal skills. She-Hulk isn't just a talented attorney, she's one of the most reliable lawyers a client could ask for. On the other hand, there's Matt Murdock. While Daredevil has been acknowledged as an amazing lawyer in the past, he is also infamous for his inability to balance his superhero life and legal career. This has gotten to the point where Murdock's unreliability as a lawyer has become something of a running gag at Marvel comics.

Unlike Daredevil, whose first bout as a crime fighter happened before he got his law degree, Jennifer Walters was already a practicing lawyer when she received the fateful blood transfusion that turned her into She-Hulk. So this may be the reason why she is able to better balance her life as a superhero with her day job as a lawyer. So while both Daredevil may be considered one of Marvel's best lawyers, only She-Hulk is capable of defending clients in intergalactic court.
