Warning: This post contains SPOILERS for She-Hulk!She-Hulk: Attorney At Law fits into the complicated Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline and is set not too long after Avengers: Endgame. The obsession over the MCU canon and timeline has not faded even as the multiverse entered the fray in Phase 4. She-Hulk is not noticeably connected to the main Multiverse Saga story and building to Kang, as the show concentrates on introducing Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany). She's the newest hero in Phase 4 and due to the high volume of MCU cameos in She-Hulk, figuring out where it takes place in the timeline is paramount.

The MCU Phase 4 timeline has been quite messy, as Marvel Studios freely explores the universe without any real concerns about what projects come before or after. It does not help that Marvel's official timeline on Disney+ and some of the more popular MCU timelines created by fans disagree with specific titles' placements. The questions about when She-Hulk would take place in the MCU were persistent throughout the film's marketing campaign. Smart Hulk's healed arm suggested it could be set during The Blip, while Abomination's return meant it could connect to his appearance in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

It is confirmed that She-Hulk takes place after Avengers: Endgame in the MCU timeline. The Infinity Saga culminating event brought the MCU timeline to late 2023, and all the Phase 4 projects (except Black Widow) took place after this point. It appears that She-Hulk is set in the MCU timeline slightly after the events of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Bruce Banner being in his human form during She-Hulk's origin story matches Shang-Chi's post-credits scene. It has been deduced that Shang-Chi takes place in April 2024. The present-day story of She-Hulk is set a few months later, so summer 2024 is the best place for it. She-Hulk is set roughly eight months after Avengers: Endgame in the MCU timeline.

She-Hulk taking place in summer 2024 in the MCU timeline means its events are unfolding at relatively the same time as a few other Phase 4 projects. Black Widow mostly predates the events of Phase 4, as everything other than the post-credits scene takes place during Captain America: Civil War. It is also difficult to place Loki in a chronological viewing order due to the story unfolding in the multiverse and beyond the limits of time. As for the rest of the movies and shows, the correct MCU Phase 4 chronological viewing order, including She-Hulk, is:

The placement of She-Hulk in the MCU timeline will likely be essential to remember as the rest of the series unfolds. This is especially true thanks to confirmed roles for Wong (Benedict Wong) and Daredevil (Charlie Cox). Based on She-Hulk's MCU timeline clues, Wong's appearance comes before some of his other significant appearances, while Daredevil will suit up before helping Peter Parker. It also means that the show's MCU connections should be limited to the projects set before it. Of course, She-Hulk: Attorney At Law could also twist the timeline even more going forward.
