The next installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is on the horizon in the upcoming Disney+ series She-Hulk, starring Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters. Set to air its first episode on August 17th, fans are already getting excited about the superhero legal drama.

While She-Hulk already has an impressive cast of characters, which even includes Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner, no MCU series would be complete without a handful of fun cameos. As such, certain fans on Reddit have spoken out about which Marvel characters they hope to see in the show.

The Leader

The Leader in the MCU

While discussing potential cameos for the She-Hulk Disney+ series, Redditor NotTaken-username coyly reminds fans that "the Leader storyline was never resolved from The Incredible Hulk…," referring to Tim Blake Nelson's character from the 2008 Hulk solo film starring Edward Norton.

The events of The Incredible Hulk made it clear that the Leader was intended to be a major villain in the potential sequel. Though no sequel was ever made, Samuel Sterns has been a lingering loose end in the MCU for over a decade. With Tim Roth's Abomination returning, She-Hulk is the perfect place to finally close a longstanding plot hole.

Jessica Jones

Jessica Jones Defenders

Romnonaldo excitedly remarks that "there's talk of Jessica Jones" joining the Disney+ series. Krysten Ritter portrayed the superhero for three seasons of her self-titled Netflix series, as well as in the eight-episode limited series The Defenders.

With the recent return of Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock and Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk, it seems clear that the other characters from Netflix's Defenders Saga will also be returning shortly. Fans have long been wondering where and when Jessica Jones will finally re-join the MCU, but her private investigation skills could make her the perfect ally to She-Hulk's eponymous lawyer.

Spider-Man And J. Jonah Jameson

Marvel fan KeyManBlastoise hopes for a major cameo featuring one of the franchise's biggest rivalries, writing that they "would have liked if [She-Hulk] could have some form of Spider-Man and J. Jonah Jameson in the courtroom like in the comics, but... that's unlikely given Sony deal and all."

While Sony has been hesitant to allow its major characters to appear in MCU films and series outside of the Avengers and Spider-Man franchises, the recent appearance of the Department of Damage Control in Ms. Marvel indicates that tides may be turning in this regard, making a legal drama between J. Jonah Jameson and his wall-crawling nemesis more likely than ever before.

Justin Hammer

A Reddit user named KeyManBlastoise suggests that "maybe we'll see Justin Hammer getting sued by Stark Industries" in She-Hulk. Justin Hammer was portrayed by Sam Rockwell in Iron Man 2 and the one-shot All Hail the King but has not been seen in the MCU since.

Justin Hammer's return feels like an inevitability at this point in the MCU, with the character heavily rumored to be making an appearance in the upcoming Armor Wars series. She-Hulk could very well do the leg work in explaining just how Hammer is let out of prison, leading to his participation in the MCU's adaptation of the "Armor Wars" storyline from the comics.

Wong

Redditor KostisPat257 has a pitch for Wong's cameo in the series. "Wong shows up to court to defend Emil/Abomination," they write, going on to suggest that Jennifer Walters may team up with the Sorcerer Supreme to help clear Abomination's name.

Wong has been shown to have some kind of working relationship with Emil Blonsky, as the two are seen working together in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Given their history and Abomination's confirmed appearance in the series, a cameo from Wong seems inevitable at some point in She-Hulk's run.

Skaar

Hulk's son could be Marvel's greatest superhero.

Leonel8899 repeats a rumor that has been circulating about a brand-new character in the MCU. "I heard a rumor that Skaar was going to appear in the series," they write, referencing the comic book character who is revealed to be the Hulk's son.

Although Skaar's debut may seem like a reach to many fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the idea is certainly intriguing. Skaar's arrival could even portend the heavily-rumored "World War Hulk" adaptation that many fans believe is in the works at Marvel Studios.

Thaddeus Ross

Reddit user aupharo suggests that, given the timing of the series' filming, She-Hulk could potentially include "a scene filmed by William Hurt before his passing." William Hurt, who portrayed Secretary Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross in the MCU, tragically passed away earlier this year.

While Marvel might elect to cut any potential Ross cameos out of respect to the late actor, such an appearance could work wonders in setting up the MCU's new roster of Thunderbolts, in which Hurt was heavily rumored to be involved. Should any cameo exist of Ross in the series, fans can only hope that it gives both the actor and the character a fitting sendoff for their years of service.

Betty Ross

GymDefender has strong opinions on one character's reappearance, which they believe should occur in She-Hulk. "I mean Betty Ross needs to appear," they argue, "Where is she? Did you forget about her, Bruce?" Liv Tyler's Betty Ross, the original love interest for the Hulk, has been absent from the MCU since her debut in The Incredible Hulk.

Betty Ross has been a character whom many fans have wished to see a return to the MCU. She is one of many characters that have yet to become her superpowered counterpart, the Red She-Hulk, a possibility that seems all the more likely with the passing of William Hurt. Fans would no doubt applaud a surprise appearance from Tyler, perhaps setting up a larger future in the franchise.

Matt Murdock

ProjectDarkInfinity prolongs one heavily rumored cameo for She-Hulk, confirming that the appearance of Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock "has been heavily leaked." Cox recently made a surprise return to the MCU in Spider-Man: No Way Home, leading to the announcement of his very own Disney+ series.

Matt Murdock is the perfect character to cameo in She-Hulk, as he happens to share a profession with the series' protagonist. Rumors about his involvement in the series have persisted since even before his cameo in No Way Home, making his appearance all but confirmed for fans of the MCU.

Howard The Duck

KostisPat257 believes that one very strange cameo may be possible in She-Hulk, writing that "Howard  [the Duck] could have very well been left on Earth after coming to fight Thanos and now he is having legal troubles." The Seth Green-voiced aquatic bird character made his last appearance in Avengers: Endgame when he indeed came to Earth to participate in the fight against Thanos's army.

Howard the Duck may be a bizarre character to include in an Earth-bound installment of the MCU, but it does appear as though She-Hulk will be embracing its zanier side when it finally premieres in August. The series is already set to include the debut of several strange Marvel Comics characters, including the oddity known as Frogman. As such, She-Hulk could certainly manage to pull off a surprise cameo from the most famous duck in Marvel history.
