She-Hulk: Attorney at Law head writer Jessica Gao teases the family dynamic between Bruce Banner and Jennifer Walters in the upcoming MCU series. Set to premiere next month on Disney+, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will introduce audiences to Tatiana Maslany's Jennifer Walters, otherwise known as She-Hulk. The series will also see Mark Ruffalo return as Bruce Banner, alongside Benedict Wong as Sorcerer Supreme Wong. Perhaps the most exciting return, however, sees Tim Roth reprise his role as Abomination from 2008's The Incredible Hulk.

Each of Marvel's Disney+ series have had varying ties to the wider MCU, with some, such as Marvel's Moon Knight, having almost no involvement whatsoever with Marvel's theatrical releases. She-Hulk, on the other hand, looks set to have some considerable crossover, given Jennifer's family ties to founding Avenger Bruce Banner. The newly released She-Hulk show trailer offered a handful of glimpses at some hilarious scenes between Bruce and his cousin, during which Jennifer is learning to adapt to her new Hulk-powers.

Now, the series' head writer further teases how the pair's dynamic will play out across She-Hulk's upcoming season. Appearing at San Diego Comic Con this past week, Screen Rant caught up with She-Hulk's Gao, who speaks to the pair's close family dynamic. The writer praises the show's stars, Maslany and Ruffalo, and comments on their "great chemistry," recalling how they "instantly clicked." Check out Gao's full quote below.

What's really, really great about them is that Tatiana and Mark had such great chemistry on set. They instantly clicked, and when you see them together, you're like, "Oh, they're cousins. They're cousins. They grew up together. They went to every family reunion together, and they know how to push each other's buttons. They've got pet names for each other; they know each other's secrets." It's really fun, and I really can't wait for people to see their dynamic.

She-Hulk and Bruce in the She-HulkTrailer

As She-Hulk approaches its much-anticipated release, more and more is being revealed about what audiences can expect from this exciting new series. As one of the MCU's more established characters, Ruffalo recently discussed how he sees She-Hulk as Bruce passing the torch to Jennifer, teasing a potentially exciting future ahead for the She-Hulk character. Ruffalo also discussed how She-Hulk depicts Hulk interacting with people in a way that hasn't been seen before, meaning the show could offer an even more in-depth look at Bruce's character now that he has fully embraced his Hulk-side.

From just the few scenes shown in She-Hulk's most recent trailer, the fun dynamic between the show's two stars was almost immediately established, so it will certainly be interesting to see this now expanded across the show's nine-episode run. With She-Hulk focusing on Jennifer's law career as well as her new superhero alter-ego, audiences will likely be very excited to see Bruce lean into this new mentor position as She-Hulk takes center stage. For now, there isn't long to go until She-Hulk: Attorney at Law finally lands on Disney+.
