Though they might not seem to have much to do with each other, Hawkeye and She-Hulk actually have a son in one alternate universe. Though the two heroes are powerful in their own right, they have nothing on their alternate universe son!

Marvel Comics' original Secret Wars event from 1984 is one of the publisher's best stories and was the first company-wide crossover event in the history of comics. It sees many of Marvel's most popular heroes and villains whisked away to an unknown world to battle each other for the entertainment of a cosmic being called The Beyonder. Eventually, the characters escape and make it back to Earth, but a What If... story imagines a timeline where they all stayed behind and formed a settlement. One result is She-Hulk and Hawkeye having a son with an incredibly powerful skillset.

What If... #114 by Jay Faerber and Greg Schigiel introduces Mustang, the son of the aforementioned heroes, who has both of their powers. He has She-Hulk's incredible strength, and Hawkeye's impeccable skill with a bow and arrow. The other heroes and villains have children as well, and these kids team up and are able to return to Earth, albeit an alternate one that is ruled by Sentinels. The young heroes decide that ridding the world of Sentinels would be their purpose. Mustang's power combo enables him to wield a much more powerful bow and shoot further and faster than Hawkeye ever could. He could carry way more arrows and use trick arrows that would be far too heavy for a normal human to use. This combination comes in handy in a number of situations, especially one that Sentinels are involved in. Unfortunately, the writers don't really consider these two powers going hand in hand.

Mustang is depicted as a character who is super strong and just happens to use a bow, rather than a super archer. His bouts with the mutant killing robots are usually up close and personal, or at what can be considered standard archery range. Fighting Sentinels up close is never a good idea, as they are able to adapt right on the spot. Marvel never considers that Mustang might be more useful far away from the fight, where he could rain down destructive arrows, out of sight. If the Sentinels would adapt to this method, trick arrows could easily throw them off. If they decide to move in on his location, Mustang's enhanced physical features allow him to reposition far more efficiently than a normal human could, and thus this combative cycle could begin again.

Mustang, the son of She-Hulk and Hawkeye, sadly never got to live up to his full potential. He has the skills and capabilities to be a super archer, something that would be useful in a plethora of other situations aside from fighting Sentinels, but unfortunately, he is reduced to just being a strong character like She-Hulk, whose bow is more so a symbolic nod to Hawkeye.
