She-Hulk actress says that no one could play the lead role better than Tatiana Maslany. Marvel's foray into the streaming realm via the avenue of Disney+ has been a bonafide success. Beginning with the Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany starter WandaVision, MCU has had multiple hits one after the other in its phase 4, including The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki. More shows will arrive on the service soon, such as What If...?, on August 11, and Hawkeye on November 24. Apart from that, the slate for next year is also fully bloated, with shows like Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, Secret Invasion, and She-Hulk scheduled for release throughout 2022.

Although it doesn't have a specific premiere date yet, the She-Hulk TV series is one project that has been making quite a buzz lately. The show, described as a half-an-hour-long superhero legal comedy, introduces Orphan Black's Tatiana Maslany as the titular heroine Jennifer Walters to the MCU, Bruce Banner's cousin who shares in his ability to transform into a large green-hued monster. At the moment, other plot details are slim. However, the cast has been rounded out with Mark Ruffalo and Tim Roth reprising their roles as the Hulk and Abomination, and Jameela Jamil c0-starring as the villain Titania. It was also announced that Space Force actress Ginger Gonzaga had joined the series as Jennifer's best friend, and she has since expressed her opinions about the show's stellar casting.

Now, Gonzaga has posted a tweet offering praise for She-Hulk's leading lady Tatiana Maslany. She said that she was stoked to work with the actress and that no one could play Jennifer's part better than her. Gonzaga also expressed her admiration for the rest of the "dope" cast, suggesting that she was extremely excited for fans to see the team "SMASH it" in the new TV show.

Gonzaga isn't the only one who feels that Maslany is the perfect casting choice for Jennifer. When speculations first began about Maslany joining She-Hulk, it excited many Marvel fans and Orphan Black enthusiasts, besides spawning multiple pieces of fan art imagining what Maslany will look like as She-Hulk. When Maslany initially denied the casting rumors, fans were left dejected. But ultimately, the actress was officially confirmed for the part, and since then, fans have been relishing each BTS shot offering a glimpse at Maslany's embodiment of Jennifer.

It isn't surprising that Gonzaga believes that no one can ace the title part in She-Hulk like Maslany. The actress was, after all, Orphan Black's leading powerhouse, who displayed not only a massive emotional range but also proved to be a chameleon, perfecting multiple characters with distinct mannerisms, voices, and body language. Maslany's comedic chops are also just as strong as her dramatic ones, which means she can balance well between her new project's high-octane sequences and light-hearted humor, thereby assuring authentic comic-book storytelling. Of course, fans will still need to wait before they catch Maslany in action, but with Gonzaga's claim, at least it's clear that they are in for a joyful ride whenever She-Hulk hits the screens.
