Warning: Contains SPOILERS for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 6She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has been building up to some major character reveals, making the mystery around who is at the end of She-Hulk episode 6 even more puzzling. Though the series’ episodes have been largely anecdotal, the final scenes seem to consistently hint at what’s ahead. Still, these teasers don’t always come to fruition in the following episodes, such as Daredevil’s (Charlie Cox), despite the appearance being blatantly teased at the end of episode 5.

Though Daredevil didn’t appear in She-Hulk episode 6, Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) did encounter Titania (Jameela Jamil) when they both show up at the same wedding. Seeking to “publicly destroy” Jen, Titania instigates a fight, finally embodying characteristics of a villain, rather than those of the eccentric diva she has been portrayed as for comedic effect previously. Unfortunately, the fight ended prematurely when Titania tripped and stormed off in defeat.

Resultantly, She-Hulk has thus far failed to deliver on a true villain, though a set-up from episode 3 may be leading up to the big bad the series needs. At the end of She-Hulk episode 3, Jen was attacked by a group of disguised men, but managed to transform into the powerful She-Hulk and protect herself. One of the men attempted to stab her with a syringe – to procure her gamma-contaminated blood – which was luckily useless against her superhuman skin. She-Hulk episode 6 revisited this storyline, ending in a mysterious lab, with someone preparing what looked like an upgraded version of the syringe. These reveals suggest that She-Hulk’s secret villains are none other than Intelligencia, a secretive group with ties to both MODOK and The Leader. While the exact identity of who is at the end of She-Hulk episode 6 is unclear, all the indications suggest that they come from this nefarious group.

Who Are She-Hulk's Secret Villains?

Clues from Jen’s attack in She-Hulk episode 3 clearly convey who jumped her. Though not explicitly confirmed, their “W”-printed shirts, Asgardian weapons, and the voiced names Thunderball, Bulldozer, and Piledriver all point towards a reimagined version of Marvel’s Wrecking Crew. The Wrecking Crew began when its original wrecker came to possess an enchanted crowbar during a storm. A bolt of lightening struck the tool as three others, Eliot Franklin, Henry Camp and Brian Calusky gripped it and became Thunderball, Bulldozer and Piledriver, respectively. As these are the men who attempted to procure Jen’s blood, the lab shown at the end of She-Hulk episode 6 must be connected to the Wrecking Crew. However, it seems they are working with another villainous Marvel organization – Intelligencia.

While Jen is at the wedding, her friend Nikki Ramos (Ginger Gonzaga) comes across a reddit-like website called “Intelligencia,” where she finds men are uploading memes and death threats targeting She-Hulk. In episode 6’s final scene, the website is visible on a computer in the lab. In Marvel comics, Intelligencia is a collective of the world’s most evil criminal geniuses, participating in the free trade of dangerous information. At one point, the head of their organization defeats the Hulk in battle, while accidentally discovering how to create a powerful being through combining gamma and cosmic radiation.

She-Hulk Sets Up A Devastating Villain TwistJosh and Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters in She-Hulk

In She-Hulk episode 6, Jen also meets a handsome and gentlemanly wedding guest named Josh. He approaches Jen first and is complimentary of her human and She-Hulk forms. This attracts Jen after her many disappointing dates throughout the series have revealed men’s preference for She-Hulk. This makes Josh’s sincere interest in Jen hard to believe. Not to mention, his coincidental attendance at the wedding feels all too convenient. Josh is shaping up to be a plant, likely gaining her trust and getting closer to her in She-Hulk episode 7, before eventually extracting her blood while she is in her human form. In another twist, he could even be one of her original Wrecking Crew attackers, as the masks they wore in episode 3 maintained their anonymity. Viewers are rooting for Jen’s love life to succeed, but it seems this potential beau will lead to devastating consequences.

How Intelligencia Ties To Captain America 4

Captain America Anthony Mackie The Leader

Interestingly, Intelligencia has a connection to 2024’s Captain America 4: New World Order, which will feature Sam Wilson’s (Anthony Mackie) first return as the titular character since officially taking up the mantle. At Disney’s D23 Expo, it was revealed that the film’s antagonist would be played by Tim Blake Nelson, reprising his role as Dr. Samuel Sterns, now using the moniker “The Leader.” Nelson first appeared in phase 1’s The Incredible Hulk, where his character created a temporary process to suppress Bruce Banner’s (Mark Ruffalo) Hulk. This same antidote ultimately led to Emil Blonsky’s (Tim Roth) transformation into Abomination.

In Marvel comics, The Leader is infamous for superhuman intelligence, telepathic abilities and at times, even resurrection. More notably, he formed the supervillain organization Intelligencia, who are undoubtedly targeting She-Hulk. In the comics, The Leader manipulates a She-Hulk fan (possibly Josh in the series), into capturing Jen so he could use her blood to gain gamma powers. The Leader is also canonically Hulk’s rival, so Banner could return in the series to fight alongside his cousin. Furthermore, these connections increase the likelihood of She-Hulk and Hulk appearing in Captain America 4.

The Leader and Wrecking Crew have other Marvel entanglements that could lead to interesting developments in the MCU’s Multiverse Saga. For a time, The Leader was involved with an incarnation of the Thunderbolts. The Wrecking Crew are among the supervillains in Secret Wars, and they’ve also gone head-to-head with The Defenders, increasing the potential for the MCU to integrate characters aside from Daredevil and Kingpin from the six Defenders series. Regardless, their inclusion as villains in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is sure to shake things up in the MCU.
