Warning: This post contains SPOILERS for She-Hulk episode 7!

One detail in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law episode 7 seemingly reveals why Daredevil (Charlie Cox) is going to appear in the series starring superhero lawyer Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany). The wait to see more of Matt Murdock after Spider-Man: No Way Home has loomed large over the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe Disney+ series. After a few false teases of his introduction, the presence of Daredevil's helmet in She-Hulk episode 5 signaled that he was coming soon. Two episodes later and he still has not appeared, but Marvel may have secretly revealed the reason why Matt Murdock and Jennifer Walters' paths are going to cross.

In She-Hulk episode 7, it is revealed that Jennifer Walters was nominated for the Female Lawyer of the Year award for her work with GLK&H leading their Superhuman Law Division. The show only briefly mentions the nomination and the upcoming awards ceremony, but this would make sense for why Daredevil appears in one of the final two episodes. It is possible that Matt Murdock is one of the nominees for Male Lawyer of the Year at the same awards. This would be a fun way to get Daredevil in She-Hulk beyond his need to pick up his new helmet. Even if he is not one of the nominees himself, it is possible that Matt knows someone else being nominated or attends the show to get more connections. If Matt Murdock is nominated for Male Lawyer of the Year, though, it would immediately establish him as one of the best lawyers in the MCU.

Daredevil’s She-Hulk Return Could Make Matt Murdock Famous

Daredevil in She-Hulk

Instead of being a struggling lawyer who does not often get recognition, Matt Murdock's notoriety could be much higher after She-Hulk. The potential Male Lawyer of the Year nomination alone would be enough to raise his profile while winning the award would further elevate his notoriety. She-Hulk would not so easily hold the claim of being the MCU's best superhero lawyer, as a nomination for Daredevil would confirm that he's just as worthy of recognition. After noting that he is a "really good lawyer" in Spider-Man: No Way Home, the opportunity for Matt Murdock to earn an award for his work would show everyone that this is the case.

The intriguing aspect of Daredevil's potential nomination or win is what cases Matt Murdock has worked on to earn this reputation. Matt had no noteworthy case victories in Daredevil that the MCU could draw on to make this claim, but viewers have seen She-Hulk be involved with Abomination's parole hearing and much more. Spider-Man: No Way Home features Daredevil's biggest known legal battles, but helping Spider-Man might not have happened due to Doctor Strange's spell and helping Happy Hogan was a minor case. It also does not help that She-Hulk is seemingly set before Spider-Man: No Way Home in the MCU timeline.

Daredevil's MCU Fame Could Be Bad News For His Future

Any fame and attention that Matt Murdock could get through She-Hulk and his possible nomination could help his lawyer career, but it might be bad news in the grand scheme of his life. It puts an even bigger target on his back, which could lead to more people discovering that he is Daredevil in secret. Adjusting to the added attention, possibly from Kingpin, could be key to Daredevil: Born Again's story. It all depends on the outcome of Matt Murdock's potential nomination for Male Lawyer of the Year in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law.
