She-Hulk: Attorney at Law star, Tim Roth reflects on his time filming with his MCU co-stars Mark Ruffalo and Tatiana Maslany. Roth first appeared in one of the MCU's earliest projects, 2008's The Incredible Hulk, as Emil Blonsky. After having been transfused with gamma-irradiated blood, Blonsky was transformed into the monstrous, Hulk-like creature, Abomination. Though Roth's role in the MCU was initially a standalone appearance, many were delighted to see Abomination return in last year's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, in a brief moment alongside Sorcerer Supreme Wong.

Though his future was unknown following this recent cameo, it was later confirmed that Roth would return once again in She-Hulk. The upcoming series will release as part of Marvel's recent expansion into MCU adjacent television series which release exclusively on Disney+ and will be lead by Maslany, who will star as Jennifer Walters. Alongside Roth, the series will also see the return of Ruffalo's Bruce Banner, as the show explores not only Walters' new found Hulk powers but also follows her day-to-day life as a high-flying lawyer.

Roth has now opened up about his experience filming She-Hulk, offering particular praise for his two new co-stars. Speaking to Screen Rant recently, the actor shared how his first few days on She-Hulk involved little work in front of the camera, which meant that he was able to watch Maslany and Ruffalo "interact and play" calling it a "penny drop moment" for him and discussing how it ultimately helped him jump into the world of She-Hulk. Roth continued to recall his incredibly positive experience on-set, sharing that they had "so much fun" during shooting. Check out Roth's full quote below.

"I had very little to do on the first few days of filming started so I was just watching the world. It's incredible. Mind-boggling. And watching Tatiana, that was extraordinary. Wow. And then I had a couple of days early on in the schedule with Tatiana and Mark Ruffalo and watching them interact and play - it was a penny drop moment to me. "Oh, that's what you do." And then I could jump into the world. And so it's actually watching them bounce off each other and play around because they're already deep into filming. Mark had years on it. That's what gave me and then I went "Oh my god." And then it's playtime, you know? Yeah. And it was real playtime. And we had so much fun. I absolutely loved it."

This is not the first time that Roth has offered major praise for his co-star Maslany, previously recalling her "powerhouse" performance and leaving many excited to see the star finally make her MCU debut. Roth also previously opened up about how the initial conversation to discuss his return to the MCU took him by complete surprise. Though, much of what can be expected from Roth’s role in the upcoming series has yet to be seen, teaser trailers for She-Hulk have revealed that Walters will represent Blonsky as his lawyer, with many expecting Roth to play somewhat of a key role throughout the series as a result.

To hear an actor of Roth's caliber offer such high praise for Maslany's performance, as well as to hear him recall such a positive on-set experience while creating She-Hulk is equally as heartwarming as it is exciting. Given that, on-screen, Blonsky and Banner did not necessarily leave things on great terms back in The Incredible Hulk, many are anticipating the pair coming face-to-face once again, though its sweet to hear that, naturally, the interactions behind-the-scenes are not as destructive. It remains to be seen whether Roth's MCU journey will continue beyond She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, but for now audiences eagerly await the actor's incredibly exciting return.
