Zachary Levi wants Gal Gadot to appear in Shazam! as Wonder Woman. Warner Bros. has not had the easiest time getting their DC movie universe off the ground. The mixed results of Man of SteelBatman V Superman: Dawn of JusticeSuicide Squad, and Justice League have stunted their cinematic universe from exploding. But, they did find a big exception in Wonder Woman last year. Thanks to the vision of Patty Jenkins, a heartfelt story, and Gadot's perfect portrayal, Wonder Woman exceeded all expectations.

The sequel is coming next year, but the studio is currently focused on Shazam!. Starring Zachary Levi and directed by David Sandberg, the early evidence may show a movie embracing the path Wonder Woman blazed. It will still be a very different movie, but Shazam marks WB's biggest risk yet. Not many people know who Shazam is or his origin, and since it is part of the DCEU, if WB wants another DC hero to cameo, Levi knows who he'd pick.

In a recent interview with ET Online, Levi was asked about his upcoming role as a superhero. He's obviously excited to have the part, but when they asked him about potential cameos, only one name came to mind: Wonder Woman. Not only is she arguably the universe's biggest star at the moment, but Levi believes there could be some fun to be had as a young Billy Batson meets her.

Wonder Woman, because she's awesome. I think getting a cameo from anybody would be super cool, but I just think Gal Gadot is so effervescent. She has such a charm. And she seems like a really cool broad. Like, she was in the Israeli army. She's a mom. And I'm like, 'You seem like you're grounded and cool, and you're Wonder Woman, and you rock. And I think it would be really funny to have the 14-year-old Billy Batson inside of Shazam that's really awkward around this beautiful Amazonian. I just think that would be really awesome.

There has been previous speculation that another DC hero could appear in Shazam!, but it wasn't Wonder Woman. Many pegged Henry Cavill's Superman as a natural choice to mentor the universe's newest hero, but Diana Prince may serve that role even better. Gadot has quickly captured the hearts of audiences, and Wonder Woman's optimistic look at life and what it means to be a hero would be great advice to pass along. She's arguably the leader of the Justice League, so if a new hero pops up, shouldn't Wonder Woman seek them out?

As great as a Wonder Woman cameo in Shazam! would be, this is far from a clear indication that she will appear. Filming is set to start very soon, so they could work around Gadot's schedule to make it happen. She doesn't have much on her docket before Wonder Woman 2, so that shouldn't be an issue. There is also the fact that such an appearance would give WB the ability to put Wonder Woman in the marketing for Shazam. Given the obscurity of the character, having the ability to bolster interest with Gadot appearing is a no-brainer - as long as it works with the story. Hopefully Levi gets his wish and fans get to see Shazam and Wonder Woman share the screen next year.
