Zachary Levi's suit lights up in a new image from Shazam! DC's 2019 movie slate kicks off in April with a solo film centered on a rather surprising character. While characters like Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, Cyborg, and more struggle to get solo movies off the ground, the hiring of David F. Sandberg (Lights Out) as director helped move Shazam! along quickly. The film is already done filming, which has turned all eyes towards the marketing.

The first official image from Shazam! released last week after months of fans wondering when the reveal would come. While several collections of set photos made their way online and showed off the costume, the finished product features some enhancements, in addition to providing a better look at various aspects.

EW released another image from Shazam! that once again puts Zachary Levi in the superhero costume, but this time it focuses on the lightning bolt on his chest. Pictured again with Freddy Freeman (Jack Dylan Grazer), the best friend is in awe of how the Shazam suit can light up.

For the second official look at the Shazam costume, it continues to solidify the look and tone that the film is going for. While the chest symbol is the main piece that is lighting up, Shazam's gauntlets also appear to be glowing a bit. Based on the reaction the effects garnered from Freddy, this may be the first time the suit lights up this way. Freddy's outfit also looks to be the same from the previous image, so this could be part of a sequence where Billy Batson (Asher Angel) explores his newfound superpowers.

The continued updates on Shazam! aren't likely to stop anytime soon, as this appears to be a rather big week for not only this film, but the entire DC universe. Warner Bros.' panel at San Diego Comic-Con is this Saturday and Shazam!'s trailer is set to debut there. Whether or not it releases online still is unclear, but with parts of a behind-the-scenes featurette leaking online, that could be part of Shazam!'s continued marketing efforts.

As more of the movie is shown, hopefully, the focus will eventually shift to other characters in the film, as Freddy and Shazam are the only ones pictured in both photos. They may show off Billy Batson so audiences can get a better feel for the dual leading roles. Mark Strong's villainous Doctor Sivana could also use some attention. Newly announced cast member Djimon Hounsou as The Wizard, and the entire Shazam Family that was previously revealed, are also candidates to be shown off at some point. In the meantime, further exploring Shazam's suit and powers will have to do.
