Not long after Warner Bros. Pictures launched what is now known as the DC Extended Universe with Man of Steel, plans began to be set in motion for the rest of the DCEU. While the studio has started to round out the universe by assembling the Justice League, all of whom have already had brief cameo introductions in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, there is one man who has been cast longer than the rest, but has yet to make his debut. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is arguably the biggest name in Hollywood right now and DC was able to get him to commit to play Black Adam in their Shazam movie two years ago.

Even with Johnson attached, Shazam has yet to officially find either a director or someone to play the titular superhero opposite Johnson. There's no rush, though, given the film's 2019 theatrical release date (though the film may yet arrive sooner, according The Rock himself). Whether that is the case or not remains to be seen, but now fans eagerly awaiting this project can see what Johnson might look like as Black Adam.

BossLogic has returned again with his vision of how The Rock could look as Black Adam in Shazam. The looks is different from another recent fan design of the character, but BossLogic did not stop there. He also did designs for Alan Ritchson (Arthur Curry/Aquaman on Smallville and Raphael in the rebooted Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies) as Shazam, in response to the actor telling a fan on Twitter that he is playing the hero. It is likely nothing more than a playful response, but he can certainly look the part if it does end up being the case.

BossLogic has proven time and again that he can turn in great pieces of fan art for actors in potential roles and this is just the latest case. Shazam may or may not include appearances by members of the DCEU's Justice League (a la Batman's cameo in Suicide Squad), but The Rock's star power will certainly help generate buzz for the movie. After all, he's easily one of the most hard-working and most popular actors on social media right now, so when the time comes for Shazam news, he will be sure to share it with the world (like how he has recently shared news for his upcoming movies Jumanji and Moana).

There could still be quite some time before any concrete news surrounding Shazam is made public. Even with the 2019 release date, the movie is likely more than a year away from starting production. The script is currently being worked on, which is likely why a director has not been chosen. Once both of these aspects can be completed, expect Shazam to be cast relatively quickly with the focus then moving on to filling out the rest of the cast. Until that point, fan art will have to be enough for fans.
