Shazam! gets a brand new 2018 Comic-Con Experience-exclusive poster. From Annabelle: Creation helmer David F. Sandberg, the project will introduce fans to DCEU's newest superhero brought to life by Zachary Levi alongside Asher Angel, who plays the character's human alter-ego, young Billy Batson. Mark Strong, meanwhile, takes on the role of Doctor Sivana - the primary antagonist of the movie.

Plot specifics for Shazam! are still kept tightly under wraps for now, but it promises a more lighthearted and family-friendly tone film but without the quippy lines which are usually associated with MCU's brand of humor. Despite inhabiting the same reality as the DCEU where Henry Cavill's Superman and Ben Affleck's Batman exist, the narrative will be contained with very minimal direct links to the bigger franchise it belongs to. As its release date nears, Warner Bros. is slowly starting to officially promote the project beginning with the roll out of a brand new one-sheet for the film.

Twitter fan account DC Films United shared a brand new poster for Shazam! - an exclusive release for the ongoing 2018 Comic-Con Experience in Brazil, which will last the whole weekend. The comics-inspired one-sheet features Shazam and Billy and fans are digging it already. Check it out below:

Rumor has it that the film's second trailer will debut at CCXP18, considering the studio's strong presence at the event. Although this move will pit it against another Warner Bros. project for attention in Godzilla: King of the Monsterswhich is also slated to drop a trailer. Releasing an exclusive new poster for the event is a great way to excite fans for what's to come. Warner Bros. has been relatively silent about Shazam! over the last couple of months since their marketing efforts are currently focused on James Wan and Jason Momoa's Aquaman - scheduled to come out in a couple of weeks. Sandberg and Levi, however, have been active on social media doing whatever they can to engage their followers with occasional teases with regard to their upcoming superhero film.

But with the last leg of Aquaman's promo tour currently underway, fans can expect that Warner Bros. will soon shift its attention to Shazam! Still four months away from hitting theaters, the studio still has plenty of time to ramp up people's anticipation of the film. Its first trailer has been generally well-received and was the scene-stealer at this year's San Diego Comic-Con. Its tonal departure (which is only apt considering the source material) from the usual dark vibe of previous DC movies is a breath of fresh air and the public is nothing but excited to see what else Sandberg's project will contribute to the DCEU.
