After months of waiting, Warner Bros. finally shows off Zachary Levi in the suit for Shazam! Even though his background comes in horror, director David F. Sandberg is leading up the DC movie that looks to be the most optimistic and fun. There's been plenty of updates on the movie throughout production, but when filming came to a close, one big question left on everyone's mind was why an official look at Levi in costume hadn't been released and also when it could come.

There were previously plans in place to release the image alongside the first leaked photos, but plans changed and led to no official image releasing. Levi actually provided fans with the best look at him in character with a promotional banner. That was the closest to an official look we had received, until now.

EW just debuted the first official image for Shazam!, showing Levi in the full suit. The general look of the suit is no longer a surprise, but the official look provides a cleaner and more polished look at Shazam. The photo has Billy Batson's superhero form hanging out and drinking pop with best friend Freddy Freeman (Jack Dylan Grazer).

Now that the studio has finally released the image, fans will no longer have to wonder how different it would look on screen as compared to the set photos. It looks very similar but the lightning bolt shining comes across better here. This is just a still image however, so the suit hopefully looks as good or even better when it is actually in action.

The reveal itself marks the first piece of marketing for Shazam! and will immediately spark questions of when the full campaign will begin. It will do just that whenever a trailer is released. The priority for WB is marketing Aquaman since it comes out in December, so it could still be a while before we get to see the suit in action. However, fans are undoubtedly eager to see the actual transformation process that the movie uses to turn Billy Batson (Asher Angel) into Shazam. There's also plenty of interest in seeing how well Levi actually plays the part, especially since he'll be playing the heroic figure as if he was just a child.

Since it still could be a while before more Shazam! materials are made public, there's at least no longer a need to ask for the suit reveal. That instead shifts towards a teaser trailer (which will debut at SDCC), but they'll need time to get that ready. For now, it is time to just reflect on the suit and just be happy that the official image is finally here.
