Shazam has a fantastic offer going on at the moment, which lets users get up to four months free of Apple Music. For a long time, Apple Music offered a generous three-month trial period to new subscribers before they needed to start paying for the service. However, earlier this year, Apple cut that trial period down to 30 days, bringing it on par with Spotify which also offers a one-month free trial.

While both streaming services have the same official trial period, there are other offers that users can make use of to get a longer trial. Apple Music, for instance, offers a free six-month subscription to those who buy new AirPods, Beats, or HomePod devices. All users need to do is pair their new headphones or speaker with an iPhone or iPad, and make sure their device is updated to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS. The offer should then pop up in Apple Music app if users are signed in with their Apple ID. Best Buy also offers up to six months for free with purchases of select Apple products.

The only caveat with those offers is that users need to buy a new Apple product to get a free subscription. That's what makes the new offer from Shazam so great, because it's open to all new subscribers. The website says users can get up to four months of Apple Music for free, but the actual trial period differs based on a few factors. To redeem the offer, open the Shazam Apple Music web page. If opening the website on a laptop or PC, users will need to scan a QR code with their phone to view the offer. Doing so will open an offer page that tells users the Apple Music trial period they're eligible for. Tap on 'Try It Free' which will open the Apple Music app on the device, if already installed. Follow the steps to redeem the offer and start listening.

The Shazam Apple Music offer is available for both iPhone and Android, but it's only for new customers, which means existing subscribers can't take advantage of it. Screen Rant tested the offer on both operating systems. On iPhone, Shazam offered a three-month subscription, while on Android, it was four months. The trial period could vary depending on the device and region, so users will need to try their luck.

If users already have an Apple ID and an iPhone with the Apple Music app installed, clicking on the offer will automatically open the app and let them start listening. Those who don't have an Apple ID will be prompted to create one and install the Apple Music app on their device. After the free trial is over, the plan will automatically renew and users will be charged for an individual subscription. Apple Music recently raised the cost of monthly subscriptions, which means users will be charged $10.99 per month after the trial. Those who don't want to pay after the offer period will need to cancel their Apple Music subscription at least one day before the trial ends.
