A new set video for Shazam! Fury of the Gods offers a new look at the updated superhero suit for Zachary Levi's titular DC Comics hero. The DC Extended Universe sequel will see Levi return alongside original cast members Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Djimon Hounsou, Faithe Herman, Grace Fulton, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Adam Brody, Meagan Good, Ross Butler and D.J. Cotrona, the latter four of whom return as the adult superhero versions of Billy Batson's foster family. The Shazam! follow-up will also see Fulton take over the superhero version of her character from Michelle Borth from the first film.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods will also include a group of DCEU newcomers with Helen Mirren, Lucy Liu and Rachel Zegler playing the daughters of Atlas, Hespera, Kalypso and an unnamed third. Production saw a number of delays due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic but would finally get underway in Atlanta in May of this year and officially concluding on August 31. As fans prepare for a new behind-the-scenes look at the sequel at this month's DC FanDome, a new surprise has arrived from the set of the film.

To celebrate the star's birthday, Twitter user Shazam Updates has shared a new video from the set of Shazam! Fury of the Gods offering a look at the new suit of Levi's titular hero. The video sees Levi dancing to a song on the set of the film, though the tune playing over the clip is a "Happy Birthday" tune for the actor. Check out the video below:

Between confirmations from Levi and director David F. Sandberg to leaked set photos, it's not a secret at this point that the titular hero would be getting a new supersuit for Shazam! Fury of the Gods but the new look is certainly an exciting one. Much like the superhero family photo, the new set video sees the suit with a more subdued version of Shazam's iconic thunderbolt logo on his chest as well as a cape that doesn't appear nearly as large as that of the first film. While the suit of the first film was certainly faithful to the comics of recent years, the new suit looks to be harking back to the days when the hero went by the name of Captain Marvel.

With Shazam! Fury of the Gods having wrapped production in August, this month's DC FanDome is sure to bring plenty of exciting BTS footage of the sequel as well as potentially revealing already-edited footage from the film. The biggest points of curiosity are sure to be the looks at the titular villains as well as looks of the new costumes for the superhero family. Only time will tell when DC FanDome kicks off on October 16 and Shazam! Fury of the Gods hits theaters on June 2, 2023.
