The Warlock Lord (Manu Bennett) discusses his plans for "the child of Armageddon," Eretria (Ivana Baquero) in a clip from the two-part season finale of The Shannara Chronicles. The final two episodes of the season, airing this Wednesday, will see Wil (Austin Butler) and his allies face off against the Warlock Lord in a battle that will decide the fate of the Four Lands.
In last week's double-header of The Shannara Chronicles, fans got to see Bandon (Marcus Vanco) finally resurrect the Warlock Lord after almost an entire season of build-up. In a surprising twist, the Warlock Lord took the human form of Manu Bennett's Allanon, since the ritual was performed using Allanon's blood. Meanwhile, Eretria was infected by a Mord Wraith, causing her to murder an elf off-screen. Eretria later awoke from an unconscious state, seemingly unaware of what she had done. When her eyes turned black, it became clear that the dark power that took hold of her was still there.
Spike has released two clips from this week's two-part season finale. In one clip, we see the Warlock Lord finally take notice of Eretria, whose role in the coming showdown with the Warlock Lord has been teased since the beginning of the season. The Warlock Lord notes that the darkness within her is growing stronger, while Bandon downplays her importance. According to the evil Druid, she is still resisting him, but won't be able to keep that up for long. He also uses his abilities to force Bandon into admitting the truth about himself. Bandon claims to want to serve him, but eventually reveals that what he truly desires is power.
In the second clip, Garet Jax (Gentry White) tries to unite surviving members of the Crimson, after their leader, General Riga (Desmond Chiam) had his head brutally ripped off by the Warlock Lord. Jax struggles to convince a member of the Crimson that they must work together to defeat the enemy.
Spike has additionally released synopses for the final two episodes of the season:
Eretria confesses a dark secret to Wil; Bandon's deepest wish is granted, but with a catch.
In the final showdown, Wil must save the Four Lands; Wil, Mareth and Eretria grapple with the loss of one of their own.
"The dark secret" mentioned in the synopsis likely refers to Eretria's dark heritage, which was revealed to her by Cogline. Cogline told Eretria that she is one of Armageddon's Children, humans with demon blood running through their veins. Apparently, Eretria can be corrupted and manipulated by dark magic, making her a target for the Warlock Lord.
The Shannara Chronicles season 2 concludes with "Wilderun" and Blood" on Wednesday on Spike.
